KAHINI HOTEL — Hotel in West Bengal

Location is good very near 5-7min walk to sea beach. But rest everything was bad experience for us. Never ever stay here.. 1- Room cleanliness was very poor. Blanket cover had yellow mark as it was not washed or not properly washed . Same for cushion covers. When asked to replace it , hotel manager denied said wont be possible to replace now laundry has not came . So if they get from laundary they will replace for but till checkout it was not replaced. We felt like they just sprinkled perfume but bedhseet blanket pillow coveres were used one. 2- Bathroom geyser everytime had to call reception then they used to switch on main supply then only bathroom geyser will start so bad experience. 3- Bathroom bad toilet smell was coming . 4- In veg thali they gave vegetable which was prepared with mashed fish head . 5- In dinner the chapati had fine stone particles which we were felling when eating we reported to manager and cook they also ate and confirmed it has the stone particles then they replaced the aataa packet and served again post 1hr so this was horrible situation at night with family.

We booked OYO Kahini with complimentary breakfast for 2 nights. we reached at hotel on 11.30 a.m. their check in time is 12.00 pm and check out 11.00 a.m. we wait for more than 1 hour to get ready room for us. complimentary breakfast list: bread jam and black tea / bread butter with sugar and black tea / maggi and black tea. 1st day we took bread with butter and black tea. bread was to much hard, we were struggling for eat it. and tea was to much little in qty. just 1 and half seep, and it was cold. 2nd day we took maggi and black tea. maggi was not sufficient for two adults. and tea was same as previous day. room was good and bed was big. bathroom was cleaned and there have hand wash, body wash, body lotion. balcony was good but there view was not eye soothing. staffs are friendly and helpful, but they disturbed several times for lunch and dinner order. last day we order for dinner (4 rotis and 1 plate dim bhujia). The location is excellent, especially the forest area nearby. The hotel staff were all incredibly nice and polite, making my stay very enjoyable. I’m happy with the service they provided.

Several areas in the hotel need improvement, especially cleanliness. The bed sheets in both rooms were visibly dirty, as if they hadn’t been properly washed, which was disappointing. Additionally, the room locks need to be updated; we struggled to open and lock the doors each time, and this would be especially difficult for older guests. We even had to call staff for assistance with the locks. The fan regulators in both rooms also need replacement, as they don’t allow the fans to operate at a low speed.
