The Fern Residency, Asansol — Hotel in West Bengal

The Fern Residency is located in galaxy Mall but the entrance is from ground floor. When you enter the reception at the ground floor(aka basement as per the hotel's lift), you can ask for room/dining area in the reception. We went for lunch there so we asked about the dining area. The dining area is on the fifth floor. The Fern Residency has its own lift separate from the mall's lift. The ambience is good and calm. During puja, they serve a Bengali buffet. The menu has both veg and non veg options. We had kashmiri naan, Jaipuri naan with methi paneer and Panjabi kofta. We asked for no chillis but Panjabi kofta and jaipuri naan is spicy due to its mixture of spices which was fine for us. They will give you chips while you wait for the food. We ordered normal ro water. Chips and water alongwith onion salad and pickles are free. Take away was also free. We had a bill of 866 rupees for 1 jaipuri naan, 1 kashmiri naan, paneer methi and Panjabi kofta + 1 jaipuri naan in parcel including GST. We could not eat paneer methi and Panjabi kofta completely so we took them as parcels which was free.

We booked the hotel for a Golden anniversary celebration. This review is for the room service. Rooms are beautiful, lively, very clean and hygienic, the beds are warm and soft, the people are friendly and there is always someone around to help you out. The breakfast was lavish, tasty, the cheese omelet was gorgeous and the methi paranthas could not have bene better. There were healthier juice and food options too. So all in all , next time also, Fern would be our choice for stay.||Mr Shubhankar deserves a call out here for being a very humble & patient person who is in-charge of the room service and gave us an awesome deal.|| ||There is just one suggestion: It wud be good to have a fan in the rooms.||We do understand the concept of AC that can be adjusted as per one's needs. But with older people it is a struggle which we faced as we mainly had old people staying in the rooms, not very accustomed to using AC. And then there are people like me who are claustrophobic. I need the fan running on atleast speed 1 till the temp drops...
