Traditional Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in West Bengal

In case you are planning to visit the beautiful and tranquil Kurseong, please do not book your stay at Traditional Homestay. The owner might promise a lot of things and portray a very rosy picture, the stay would not be as expected. We went in a group of 10 and were assigned rooms that were very dingy (especially room 8). The room has only one window that opens up to the common terrace so there is no privacy at all. Karseong isn't always cold, so you might feel warm (especially because the room is like a dungeon). But you can't open the window and if you reach out to the reception lady for a stand fan, she is outright rude and will deny your request. And that's not just for the fan, it's for every request that you approach her with. The complimentary breakfast is a JOKE! And if you want to pay and order something extra, they would deny that as well! The owner is all talk, and the receptionist is the rudest front desk staff i have ever experienced in my entire life! The Traditional Homestay is one of the best in this small hamlet of Kurseong. The location is befittingly choosen. Not far or near the hustling & bustling of the town. It's, amidst the sprawling tea gardens with meandering road nomenclatured as the LOVE ROAD by the local netizens.The property is very comfortable to stay it's serenity keeps one cool & calm. The spectacular view of the ice capped KANCHANJHUNGA from the property's terrace is an added feather on its cap. The food is perfect to your taste buds & the restaurant is marvelous. First, it is to informed that this is not a Homestay, it's a 100% pure hotel. According to service and accomodation of this hotel's room rates are too much high. This hotel have few staffs, but they are not available for room service or any service. This hotel has a restaurant in lower garage compund... and the same the food prices are doubled and tripled high.

If any tourist bring there personal CAR alongwith drive, then driver accomodation is not available here. Still this charges Rs. 500 extra for the driver (excluding foodings).
