Made a reservation at Blue Garden Jogya hotel through booking.com for 19 Jun this Feb. Had paid the deposit direct to the property as requested by email. ||For some unexpected reasons, my brother has to cancel the booking and was told that the deposit is non refundable. I contacted booking.com and for the cancellation policy where i was told that cancel foc until 7 days before arrival. I have asked booking.com to cancel the reservation manually and was done instantly with no penalties as mentuoned. They have contacted the property and said that the deposit will be refunded in 10 - 15 working days. We waited for 1 month before starting to contact the hotel directly.This lengthy waiting time (coming to 4 months tomorrow) and process involving numerous WA chats, 1 way emails to hotel,(not a single email replied or acknowledged), long waits and being told over and over that refund will be made by next week or the following week or by month end at the latest.||||Not too sure if i am the only one with this bad experience with blue garden jogya as i have not found any bad review on this property (despite being in prime location with affordable room rate, i think they really have to work very hard on their business/customers...

Read moreWhat a lovely stay at Blue Garden! The staff was so friendly and helpful. A perfect combination of rest and enjoying the beauties of Yogja.
The rooms are very smartly set-up. There is plenty of space to hang clothes and i didn’t have to share the room with any scary insects. They are very tidy and well maintained. One nice detail is that there are 4 pillows provided on the bed: all of different size and firmness which makes that you can choose your favorite.
The restaurant serves good and fresh food. Only watch-out for vegans as many dishes contain dairy or egg. Tip would be to discuss dietary wishes in advance. The staff is very open to accommodate requests and wishes.
The location is outside the city area, but Grab cars will take you anywhere very quickly at an affordable rate.
Robert is a star at pro-actively help plan your trip upon arrival - giving tips on tours or help with arranging tickets. He will advice in such a way that you get the best rates. For example the airport transfer arranged through him is exactly the same price as the Grab car.
