Nice beautiful resort with activities that suits the elderly and young children. I have bought the stay & play package that comes with a few complimentary activities included. Sudden heavy downpour and we are not able to go for the outdoor activities (slide, bicycle, mangrove kayaking)..so we requested to allow us to claim for indoor activities instead. Initially, my request was rejected as they doesn't allow change of activities. But after a few rounds of negotiating due to the unpredictable weather, they finally approved our request for the kids to go to indoor playground, while the adults go for sheltered archery. Comfortable tents with the basic necessities. Be prepared that you can actually hear alot of sounds outside of your tents (eg. walking & talking sound, music from the bar). I don't think anything can be done for the soundproofing of the tents, maybe can provide earplugs for the guests. Staff are polite and often served with a smile 😊 Enjoyed the tent side BBQ and also the buggy service 👍🏻! We went to dine at both Compass rose restaurant at Anmon and Patio restaurant at Natra. Compass rose restaurant food was good, they have more food options (Thai, Jap, Indo, Western cuisine) compared to Patio Restaurant. And..especially the waiting time for the food to be served, decent waiting time (approx 30mins) for Compass rose.. long waiting time (approx 1hr 15mins!!!) for Patio restaurant to serve the food.. when there wasn't any crowd. A great place to chill, relax and recharge. My family and I will definitely come back to Anmon again!

stayed during off peak season in july hence the resort wasn’t overly crowded. this is one of the resorts that is directly connected to treasure bay (i believe the only other one is natra), but chose to stay here for the glamping experience. as for the actual room/tent, i have no complaints. the aircon was powerful, the beds were comfortable, the mini fridge was cold, it was spacious, the toilet was big and spacious, the lounging area outside had a fan and lights. my only small dissatisfaction was the water pressure in the shower was on the weaker side and the water wasn’t very hot. the staff were friendly and responded promptly via whatsapp. towels can be changed upon request. the breakfast spread was good and food was decent. (i would however strongly recommend NOT ordering room service as the food is expensive and … not delicious. the only saving grace is the sambal.) opted to try the bbq which was set up outside the tent — quite a good experience and would recommend since it wasn’t very pricey. overall it met my expectations for the price paid. i didn’t benefit greatly from the proximity to treasure bay which i believe is the greatest perk of this location, so i probably won’t rebook at this price. but to try the glamping experience? i would recommend it~

Anmon is seriously one of the coolest glamping experiences I’ve ever had! ✨ Right after check in, they sent a buggy to take us straight to our tent. The area is quite hot — kinda like a desert vibe since there’s not much greenery, but once you step into the tent....AC is blasting and it instantly feels super chill and cozy. The tent itself is really spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom is surprisingly modern and spotless, and their amenities are sooo complete!! They even provide mosquito repellent 😂 Major points for that attention to details💯👌 Honestly, Anmon really nails the whole concept of camping in nature with 5 star hotel comfort. Everything feels luxurious but still practical. Their room service is excellent too! Super quick, easy to order, and still pretty affordable. Other than their great hospitality, they also have Crystal Lagoon, the largest saltwater swimming pool in Southeast Asia!! And there are tons of water activities available, so you won’t get bored spending the whole day just exploring and enjoying everything. It's definitely a perfect spot if you’re looking for a mix of nature escape and comfort ⛺️🌴🏖

A place perhaps for just an instagram moment. Perfect picture moment for those who want those photos in every reviews.

Room comes with no TV and NO SOUND PROOFING. At noon, one would struggle with full blast aircon with highest fan speed. For those who would need a quieter sleep, you are not getting one. But if you are OK with noise, especially weekends with inconsiderate neighboursss, in terms of Glamping, Anmon is very nice. Just as I'm writing this (as I can't rest from the noise), a bunch is testing and "learning" how to ride those rental ebikes outside the tent. Honking at 11pm, after using their portable speaker 'sharing' their music with everyone. Woohooing like some club but over ebikes. Pretty much like pitching a tent next to a HDB coffeeshop with a rowdy drinking crowd, with ebike...

As I was going around, Anmon do have exclusive corner tent offering with outdoor jacuzzi but I would expect the same noise level as well.

Service wise is good and greeted with smiles everywhere. We love the staffs!

For location, it's suppose to be a big resort with integrated water park so we came with the impression of it being more self sufficient and the ulu location should not be an issue. But going anywhere else for any non resort options (food/massage/mini mart) would requiring travelling. The activity center which is the main source of entertainment for this resort requires a buggy ride as well. Positive, very near to jetty.

When my agency sold me the offering, it mention that it include the water park. Probably my own fault not to check but for those planning to come for the 1st time and buying from agency, do clarify what is inclusive. As it only cover entry and basic pool use. Every single thing is payable but they do have bundle package.

Overall if you want to try Glamping, for sure why not give anmon a try. Nice lagoon with stuff for kids and romantic ambience for couple.

I would not recommend for folks looking for a quiet night stay or with younger toddlers that will be woken up by incosiderate excited child like behaviour grown up. Expection should really be position at camping, not resort. While it is position as more upscale glamping, i think the resort is missing some final touches to reach its potential. With the price you pay. I might top up for more premium options out there with a quiet sleep and more inclusives. But if one is to up the budget, then other locations and offering would become available as well.

For non resort options, the nearest mini mart at Lagoi, they offer free delivery for min order 100k. Most seafood restaurant offer free pick up and return, just need to WhatsApp them directly. Local food like warong yeah (not bad local food) offer free delivery as well. The bintan spa and massage also offer free transport, this can be booked direct (just whatsapp) or/vs through the activity centre (take buggy or rent a ebike to go across the lagoon) Or Anmon has one as well.

As nice restaurant is limited around the area, dining options like bbq and reservation with tree top restaurant runs dry quickly. So do make ur reservation and dinning in advance for sch holidays weekend.

To the resort management, your service and staff's attitude is impeccable. The low rating is not a reflection of your quality service. Some personal recommendations: Addition of poolside bar and drinks offering. Built in more activities offering into your hotel pricing. Concierge to up sell more option of exploration for first timers visiting. Since it's a man made lagoon, why not...

Stayed for 3D2N for a birthday getaway.

Pros

Aesthetics were beautiful and great for photos. Staff were friendly and courteous, willing to answer your questions patiently WhatsApp messaging communication with hotel was quite convenient since wifi signal was strong. Ordered a “Romantic Dinner” in the tent, it was DELICIOUS and staff were always on time and food was hot. 👍🏼 Offered a buggy ride when seen walking around the resort The birthday set up in the room made with leaves and flowers were really nice too, personalised with your name Handwash and mosquito repellant body lotion provided in the room was a nice touch Multiple charging points in the room with USB and international adaptors included Food was generally yummy, romantic dinner and a simple Nasi goreng at the restaurant

Cons

  1. ZERO SOUNDPROOFING

On the first night, we were disturbed by our left neighbour who had a special needs child making sounds. Can’t do anything there. At the nearby bar, there was a team bonding event and a live band was going on.

On the second night, there was another major celebration across the lagoon with lights and party music. Our dear neighbours around who had a few rooms together were having an open conversation till late at night. Believe me, I hear EVERY word they say.

I called for ear plugs but it didn’t help much and hurt my ears badly. There was random fireworks too.

Perhaps the hotel should stop noisy activities by a certain time and allow noise after a certain time. Neighbours were up at 5am mind you. I barely slept the entire vacation. Or have security going around to remind them of noise level.

The peace I wanted from a busy city life I could not get it here. I do hope that the next time I’m back (I’m having second thoughts now), there can be some form of sound barrier or at least put me at some far corner. I will gladly pay to rent a scooter to get around just to escape from the noise. This is definitely not a place to rest unfortunately. A nightmare for a light-sleeper.

  1. Foreign Matter in My Food

During my birthday lunch, the room was not ready so I had my set meal at the restaurant. Sad to say, I was halfway into my main course when I noticed an orange foil mixed with my fish dish.

I asked for a new one straight away. Female waitress changed to a new one for me. Fish was freshly made as it was really hot and took a while.

What would have made her an excellent waitress instead of a good waitress would be to check on me after I started on my new fish dish.

Anyway, the Caucasian supervisor did apologise and checked on me again after. So I guess that’s a proper service recovery cycle.

  1. Communication of Staff

Pre-arrival, my travel partner had asked if a birthday cake could be arranged in the room. We were informed that it was chargeable. Fair enough but the conversation which followed was pretty amusing.

Hotel: Which flavours would you like for the cake? Us: What flavours do you have? Hotel: Oh we only have chocolate flavour.

You decide what kind of expectations to have for this place after this.

Good luck!

P.S There wasn’t an iron in the room, not sure if it’s available upon request since it’s a...

Things to take note - If its a short trip 3d2n kind. Don't bother buying SIM card. Just get the cheapest Roaming data plan from your service provider. There's Free WiFi throughout the resort, and it's a good strong Wi-Fi signal too. You probably only need the data when you go out of the resort which only gives u 2G, if lucky 4G at very limited areas. Be nice to the staff, like super nice. You never know they might give you some discounts. (Ask nicely)

Picked up from the ferry terminal via bus (along with other guests) and drove a short 5 to 7mins to the resort.

Upon reaching the place, looks as good as the pictures. Clean and "Hot", was welcomed warmly by the reception. Staff were super friendly and helpful in every way they can.

F&B restaurant manager Mervyn (if that's how u spell it), what a great guy. He makes sure the guest had their fill and checked around to make sure the food was all right.

The pricing for everything in the resort is rather expensive. (Would say is SG pricing). There's a mini mart right outside the reception which opens at 10am / 1030am where you can snacks and drinks some medicine too. Price is cheaper as well.

The tentage as everybody mentioned not very sound proof. So you hear quite abit of noise early in the morning if your next door neighbours have kids. You can request for ear plugs.

Everything is communicated through whatsapp which they will contact you upon checking in. So room service / whatever you need, buggy rides to the restaurant.

Would recommend to take a taxi service from the reception to the real Bintan and enjoy your seafood lunch / dinner. The driver will wait for you to finish and send you back. Make sure to plan your route and place correctly and inform before hand to finalize the price of the taxi trip.

One thing they could improve is on the breakfast sitting arrangements. Especially if they are going to have "Corporate arrangements locally". They probably had a corporate event and there was about at least 20 to 30 more pax of people. My last breakfast on the day of check out wasn't a great experience. Where everyone was just looking for space to sit for the whole family.

The resort could have condoned one area off for their corporate event people to have breakfast.

PS: The poor lonely staff at the egg counter didn't stop cooking eggs for the whole shift (I guess)

Overall it was a good...
