The resort's main attraction is its absolutely gorgeous hillside view. The nature aesthetic's integration with modern resort architecture alone is worth a stay, there's no doubt you'll at least get a sense of enjoyment from doing so. To what extent you'll feel said enjoyment, however, is up for debate. You can either stay in the main resort compound's guest rooms, which offer the more traditional hotelesque comforts, or choose to book a spacious unit in one of the villas, which offer the signature villa experience complete with two floors, multiple bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen area of sorts. Both options are adequately nuanced in that they are quite comfy and cozy but that being said, both admittedly have their downsides—ones that I personally considered essential in affecting my experience in the resort. Firstly, the guest rooms are entirely too hot. I get that this is a hillside resort in the Puncak area and thus the outside gets absolutely freezing in certain times of day so I can just open the sliding doors and let some air in but what about other times of day when it actually starts to get hot? The ACs are definitely not cold enough, even on their lowest temperature (I tested two different rooms). Fortunately, temperature isn't a problem I encountered whilst staying in a villa unit. Instead, something much worse happened. A small piece of the ceiling broke off and hit my little cousin in the head—she wasn't significantly hurt in any way, but the shock and pain did make her cry. I do applaud that the resort rectified this by offering another villa unit for free and some free food and beverages as bonuses. Moving past the drawbacks specific to the rooms and units, there was another crucial element that I found lacking and therefore made me feel I had to deduct a star for this review: the food. The fried rice they served for breakfast was good and the same could be said for the shrimp I ordered from room service (despite it being overpriced), and the jerk chicken and american breakfast was just okay but everything else was really not up to my standards, which are really not that high. All in all, I still enjoyed my stay quite a bit as the atmosphere, adequate facilities, and the people I stayed with really boosted my experience. Pesona Alam Resort & Spa is not at all a bad place to stay in Puncak, especially if you want more of a 'luxury at a budget' location. At the same time, however, I do believe that some improvements to the guest rooms' ACs, villa units' structural integrity, and the quality of the food...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pesona Alam Resort, and I must say it was an experience to remember. From the moment I stepped foot in the hotel, I knew I was in for a treat. The stunning scenery of majestic mountains combined with the refreshing air instantly lifted my spirits.
Let's start with the hotel room itself; it was nothing short of exceptional. Tidiness and cleanliness were definitely a priority as everything sparkled and gleamed. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the neatly arranged furnishings to the pristine bathroom. The comfortable bed provided a rejuvenating night's sleep that left me energized for each day of my stay.
What truly set Pesona Alam Resort apart, however, was the breathtaking scenery that surrounded the hotel. As I looked out from my room's window, I was greeted with a picturesque view of the lush mountains that seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see. The tranquility and serenity of the natural landscape were simply awe-inspiring, and it was a pleasure to wake up to such beauty each day.
I found myself spending ample time exploring the resort grounds, taking leisurely walks and immersing myself in nature's soothing embrace. The air was indeed refreshing, allowing me to forget the stresses of everyday life and embrace a sense of calm and relaxation.

Ultimately, my time at Pesona Alam Resort was a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Everything is just superb masyaAllah! The hotel is really clean and pretty masyaAllah! It is located very close to Taman Safari Indonesia.
Even from the front gate, we were “greeted” with rows of huge trees and vast landscape, which looks amazing!
The check in was done swiftly. All of the staff look cheerful and warm.
I think the room could feel a bit cramped for tall people, but me and my family (with average Indonesian people height) felt just fine. The room and bathroom was super clean! The hot water ran smoothly. The amenities provided were great! The hotel even provided iron and an iron board in the room. Oh, and we can refill drinking water anytime, there are many dispensers distributed at the hotel.
The hotel also has various facilities. There is an outdoor playground, indoor playroom, gym, pool, mini zoo and horse riding. There's a flying fox in the outdoor playground area. And the view, masyaAllah! It is really calm and serene.
The breakfast masyaAllah was so good! All of the food I ate was so delicious! The variety was also great. I feel like I gained weight, lol.
The checkout process was also done swiftly. Ms.Rahel helped me with the checkout process. The concierge staff (I forgot his name) was also nice and offered to help. The staff in the restaurant were so agile and nice. I was really impressed with their attitude.
One thing that I like the most, the hotel has no smoking policy in all of its areas. So me and my family could really enjoy the fresh air. InsyaAllah we’ll be staying again in Pesona Alam.
Update September 2024: There are less water dispensers around the hotel. However we could ask the hotel (housekeeping) to refill our water bottle (which provided by the hotel, there are 2 bottle made of glass in each room).
At first I thought all of the hotel's area are non-smoking. Turns out that people can smoke at some outdoor areas, even near the restaurant and pool in which lots of children play. It's a disappointment. The hotel should ban smoking in ALL...
