Madani Hotel Medan — Hotel in City of Medan

this isn't the first hotel at medan i stay with no airconds in the room. the first one (let's call it X hotel), is really cold to the point where you'd need to shower with hot water in the morning. Madani hotel, however, is not cold at all? but with no airconds. my sister was awake at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep because she was sweating and it was so freaking hot. are y'all mad??? wanted to join others business to go aircond-less but your hotel is located somewhere so hot 😭 also upon arriving (around 8pm), we asked the reception where the laundry is and he said they were already closed. PEOPLE SPEND WHOLE DAY SHOPPING AND GOING SOMEWHERE, NIGHT IS THE TIME WE HAVE TO DO LAUNDRY? crazy how we choose to stay at hotel and they expect us to stay there the whole day esp morning time? make it make sense. also my friends asked for adapter since their plugging system is different from us and the worker asked her to pay to rent the adapter. 10 minutes later someone came to her room to give her the adapter and she said she already rented one from the reception. the worker was surprised to hear that she was charged as it wasn't supposed to happen. you should be able to use theirs for free but someone asked her for the money lol SCAMMER. also the bathroom is so not...

It is at a very busy intersection. Quite noisy at times depending on where your room is located. The mosque is just next to it. So you will hear the prayers early in the morning.||The staff are quite friendly and helpful even though most don't speak English. There are some supermarkets next to it and around as well. My main issue was the there was no bank around to exchange currency. The hotel accepts only some types of currency. The wifi was awful. Never experienced anything that bad in a hotel. So have a SIM card and data available especially if you are flying in from another country. Don't forget to take an adapter to fit into the Indonesian power outlets. I did forget and luckily the hotel was able to give me one. Oh, by the way I could not switch off the light at the entrance unless i took my card off the master switch unit. That meant there were no lights anywhere until I put my card back into the slot. On the positive side, the pastry shop is quite good. Breakfast pretty good with a wide variety of dishes. this place is absolutely horrible. the bathrooms are unclean and dirty, with weird stains. the shower literally doesn't work, i had to shower in someone else's room because the water pressure was so little. the bedsheets had weird stains. the sink was so clogged it was so gross i had to physically stop myself from gagging. the bathroom shower had so much cracks and this very weird smell i had to put scented lotion on me so the lingering smell would go away. the room design with the mirror facing the bed is very ??? questionable. if u have sleep paralysis do not come here. also the most important thing I've come across here that i really want to report is the metallic smell in the room. on a good note, the coffee bar here was good. i enjoyed the drinks, highly recommended their matcha. also i hate the smell of cigarettes in here. overall, my visit was terrible, but i...
