Balmoral House Ambarukmo Plaza — Hotel in Depok

The bed sheets were full of stains, there were bugs in the room and on the bed, the bathroom was dirty and disgusting, there was even a man sleeping on the floor behind the check-in counter. The room 100% does NOT match with the pictures they show online. It was so bad that we decided to book another hotel, and check out.

We immediately reported to Agoda and hotel management, and requested for a refund of the days we would not be staying. Hotel management refused and offered a stay in another hotel under the same chain. Considering the dirty state of this hotel, a stay under the same hotel chain was just not acceptable. This hotel wasn’t even that cheap, so the place definitely didn’t match the cost per night.

The next hotel that we booked was only sgd$10 dollars more per day, and it was sparkling clean.

A few hours later, we received an email from agoda informing us that the hotel management from this terrible hotel informed agoda that we had checked into the other hotel they had offered. This is a complete lie. We DID NOT check into the other hotel they offered.

So the pictures online are misleading, the place is dirty, the bed sheets are covered in stains, there are crawlers around, and on top of all that, they lied about the check in and continued to refuse reimbursement for a service that was not provided.

Do not stay here. Do not be swayed by the good rating, room pictures do not match up with the actual place. It’s dirty and there are many other places that are clean and even cheaper...

Kami datang sekitar jam 10 mlm. Agak susah cari lokasi nya. Krn g ada nama didpn rumahnya. Setelah ty sebelah baru ketemu. Resepsionis g ada. Lg keluar ada tulisannya. Setelah menunggu bbrp lm baru check in. Kami dpt 2 kamar di bawah. Kamar nya lumayan. Sprei bersih, handuk wangi. Dpt air mineral botol keciil banget. Dpt amnities. Tp kamar mandi nya kotor bgt. Licin, bau ky lama g dibersihkan. Mau foto g tega. Dan ternyata mau mandi lubang air buangan nya menggenang dan tambah byk air keluar. Bau got. G bs pake kamar mandi. Tp mas nya baik dikasih ganti kamar. Sy dpt kamar dpn. Lbh besar. Tp kamar mandi nya emang jorok bgt. Bau got. Walaupun ada exhaust fan nya. G ngaruh. Lantai kamar juga ky g di pel. Ada lemari. Hanger. TV. AC nya ok, dingin. Water Heater nya juga ok. Cuma kamar mandi aja yg perlu dibersihkan. Diatas ada tempat duduk2. Tp sayang g dibersihkan dan byk pot pot bunga yg terbengkalai, berserakan tidak terurus. Smg next...
