Carney Co — Restaurant in Depok

To make it fair, the good things about this café are that they have an aesthetic and thematic building, great views of the rice fields, some affordable 'iftar' options, and good live music.

Otherwise, the service was terrible. We booked a table for the number of people a few days in advance, hoping that we would eat right after ‘the adzan’. But, unfortunately we still had to wait more than an hour just for the food, or even the drinks were not served on time. Ironically, the food came with undercooked rice which was actually inedible.

We totally understood that the restaurant was totally crowded at that time and they were under pressure to handle all of the orders, but they didn’t do the simplest thing that they could do, which was to communicate properly. Sadly, we were also served impolitely and rudely by the servers, a big mistake in the hospitality industry.

That was definitely not a good experience, we do hope they can fix those issues...

Was here today for a coffee. We ordered ice cappuccino and the Vietnam Drip Coffee. The place is huge, they have co-working space as well. Vietnam Drip Coffee is really nice. There might be a miscommunication when I ask for choice of milk for my cappuccino, since I am lactose intolerant, and the waitress offerred me "susu jahe" which I know by any means, she was referring to other variance of drink with milk based (I chose with ice cappuccino btw, I didn't care anymore since I am too thirsty, and I knew I would pay the price later on)... The thing surprised me the most was... PARKING FEE for the car, I didn't even spent 1 hour there, and parking man said, let me quote... "The standard parking fee here is 4,000 IDR"... Wow!!!!!! Tanggal 11 april 2022 saya reservasi untuk bukber melalui Whatsapp. Memang saya salah menulis hari, tapi admin carney.co tidak mengkonfirmasi/mengkoreksi bahwa saya salah menulis hari (seharusnya sabtu, tapi saya tulis minggu) dan admin menjawab "noted". Saya tanya apakah perlu DP atau tidak, dijawab "Tidak kak langsung saja". Karena saya salah tulis hari, saya konfirmasi lagi pada hari-h tapi Whatsapp dan nomor biasa tidak aktif. Akhirnya saya dm di instagram dan dijawab bisa hari sabtu. Setelah selesai saya ke kasir untuk bayar saya kaget karena harganya naik. Dari 27rb/paket menjadi 33rb/paket. Kasir mengatakan harganya sudah naik. Dan ternyata reservasi saya tidak masuk pada tanggal 11 april, karena saya BELUM DP. Saya bingung dan kesal dong, di whatsapp saya tanya perlu DP dulu atau tidak dijawabnya tidak, tapi reservasi saya tidak masuk. Saya tunjukkan bukti chat bahwa saya sudah reservasi di tanggal 11 april kasir bilang "aduh gatau kak, karena yg iniin (melayani reservasi) gak dateng". Loh emang perlu adminnya dateng biar reservasi saya masuk? Saya tanya lagi "kan saya salah nulis hari tu kak. Harusnya sabtu tapi saya tulis minggu, terus di hari minggu reservasi saya masuk atau tidak?" Dan kasir menjawab tidak. Saya yakin pihak carney.co ketika saya dm di instagram langsung mencari chat whatsapp saya. Karena mereka tidak tanya lagi menu yg ingin dipesan dan pasti juga melihat tanggal berapa saya melakukan reservasi. Tapi sayang sekali mereka tidak menginformasikan bahwa harganya sudah naik. Bukan masalah harganya naik tapi saya sudah reservasi sejak tanggal 11 tanggal sebelum harga naik tetapi tidak ada informasi mengenai kenaikan harga tersebut. Juga tidak ada permintaan maaf ketika staff sadar bahwa ada misscommunication. Pernyataan maaf diucapkan oleh seorang staff setelah saya membayar. Dari 4 menu yg dipesan, semua adalah menu nasi ayam. Salah satu ayam yg dihidangkan berukuran kecil dan nasinya pun porsinya berbeda dari yg lain. 33rb is not worth it! Memang bukan salah kasir, tapi seluruh karyawan mewakili carney.co cafe. Perlu dibenahi kerja sama, komunikasi, dan keprofesionalan...
