PelemKecut Double-Degree Accommodation — Hotel in Depok

If I had to choose between this hostel and a 5* Hotel, I'd pick this one!

The owner (Gatot) and his wife (Rachel) really went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They: made sure to swap rooms as soon as we mentioned the wifi was weak shared their scooter with us (without any fuzz) immediately asked for our plans for the day and what we needed. Helped anywhere they could invited us spontaneously to dinner prepared a spezial tea as soon as I realized I had a sore throat showed us the best/fastest laundry service and rental scooter (we didn't want to leech of them all the time) gave us some real insider tips (try kopi joss btw)

Unfortunately we had to leave in a rush to the airport. You guys, if you read this: Terima kasih from the bottom of our hearts! Hope to see you again. 😊

One thing: Make sure to contact Gatot BEFORE arriving. We arrived at noon at a seemingly empty house. But that's because he has a lot of work and is busy. So just let him know your estimate date of arrival. Or Rachel. She is easier...

Gatot and Rachel make this place what it is. I don't really know how to describe our stay but we were overwhelmed by the support and care shown by Gatot. Gatot showed us around town in his car, bought us local food (without us asking ever), showed us local traditions and explained so much about Indonesia that we wouldn't otherwise have seen and much more, and refused anything in return. We also left something in the room and he helped us to send it to our next location.

I really recommend staying here if only to meet Gatot and get a real local experience in Jogja (it's worth the small extra to get the AC room).

Gatot if you are reading this, thanks again for everything and we will not forget our time in...

I am a Sudanese scholarship univ.student who is studying at Automotive Engineering 2022 at UNY and has received a short visit from my father who work & live in Dubai. We have stayed here for 4 nights 5 days at Pelemkecut Gejayan Jogja. The owner and his wife have showed us lots of care and respect, they suggested places to go in Yogyakarta and we had lots of great discussion. My father had back-pain and the owner recommended an electric-message my father said “ It was his first time trying this kind of therapy, it was great and highly effective” the therapist even came to the room so there was no need to go around any where. So guys I really recommend you to come here if you are visiting jogja...
