What turned form a great trip with some friends for their 50th Birthday turned into a nightmare. Being picked up in a truck was great as the breeze was amazing and cool. Greeted by many staff who wanted to do everything for us. The manageress maybe the only one who really ca speak any English, was very charming at first. We were asked if we had a trip organised. As we didn't we spent some time talking to her about what we wanted to see and it came down to a 2 night trip.|| Our fiends go to their unit which is a large bedroom with air-con and separate bathroom. They cam out soon after and said their toilet was leaking all over the floor when used, next thing all the staff came into the room to have a look and see what the issue was, we went into town as it was soon to be sunset and we wanted to see it. Onto the truck and taken to a spot where everyone must go but its up a very steep hill so we choose not to, trying to tell them beech but wasn't working even with someone who spoke Indonesian.|| We were told the trip starts at 5am so we were okay with this knowing its a long trip. We were told when we got back from tea that it was 5am and than changed to 7:30 am, but no reason why. Next morning 7:30 still not breakfast and no one was able to let us know what was happening, finally the boss lady arrives and were packed into the truck and have to chase around town to find the snorkelling gear, and drop off some other guests at the airport, they came close to missing their flights as we were going from place to place. Finally down to the port, but no boat, could see her going mad at someone and than going off to a few other boats, finally coming back to say the captain didn't have his phone on, (This was the start of many excuses). The fatal words of "you have the best trip organised" than to be told if we wanted to snorkel we had too pay 100 000 rupiah each. this was the start of the extras.|| GET THE PERSON WHO YOU BOOK A TRIP THROUGH TO WRITE IT ALL DOWN - WHAT AND WHERE YOU ARE GOING. ALL INCLUSIVE - DANGEROUS WORDS|| , So we were on the slow boat to China and no idea for the first 2 hours what was going on, we finally arrived at a small island which was stunning, only to find out its 100 000 rupiah ($10A) to have one of the sun lounges and we were only their for an hour, than charged us 100 000 each for walking about. Back onto the boat and off we go again, had some lunch which was made by the 2 local kids on the boat. Which was great, We arrived at the Manta rays which was surprising as we thought we were seeing them the next day, we didn't snorkel due to this, big mistake as we find out later the program hade been changed as we didn't wish to climb Padra but wanted to go to the beech. Soon after Jirin spoke to the captain, what we found out was the lady changed the tour as we didn't want to climb the mountain and also that the pass for the Kinca and Komodo was a day pass and if we wanted to see them on separate days we would pay the 250 000 rupiah each. This was very different to the program we had arranged. Rinca and pink beech and Flying fox on day one followed by Komodo and Manta rays on 2nd day. || We spent quite amount of time trying to find out what was going on as we were out in the middle of nowhere and to be honest glad Jurin was a local and was able to speak to the captain. He was the one who told us about the day pass and that he was just doing what he was told. Basically things were changed and we were not advised or informed of the charges which maybe applied if we wanted to do the program as per its sale. We ended u going to the Komodo village as we were to early for the fox's, This tiny community on stilts on the edge of the ocean is amazing, the locals live in standards which we might find horrific but this is all over many Asian countries but they all appear to be happy, upsetting that little kids ask for money, you can see their parents push them to do this. Onto the foxes and we spend some time their and wandering where are we sleeping tonight, this was always on out minds as no-one was really able to find out. After some locals come in their tiny boats with wares to sell, including beer and chips, wood and pearl products, We find out were sleeping on the boat, after some discussions and concerns as their appeared to be a very large storm coming which was close to becoming very dangerous we were told no accommodation on the islands we sleep on the boat. As you can understand were all somewhat over all this drama and want to slap someone silly for this. Finally we tried to sleep and was amazed to what we woke up to, the most beautiful sunrise and flat as water, but the humidity was already 90%. Off to the dragons on Komodo and Rinca charged extra from Rinca ranger (oh what a surprise) and than back to land. 6 hours back on the boat to to be told the captain had phoned the hotel to pick us up, half hour later we phone to be told of the driver was sent. Finally back and had a shower and time to just take some time to gather our thoughts. I went to speak to the manageress who was at first blaming us for changing the program as we didn't wish to climb Pada. Many times I tried to show her on the map the program she had shown us and how this was changed and we had missed out on, when kept saying that the captain must have changed it and than blamed Jurin and the captain for talking and changing it. The only consistent was 4 guests and 1 captain who knew that she spoke to him before we left and that he advised that was what he was told to do and that he was the one who actually advised about the day pass. could shower So when one of the other guests came to speak to the lady, she became more aggressive and would not listen to us, keeping says your husband changed it, when Jurin came she than blamed the captain, he was ask to come and than she wasn't able to blame anyone so just brushed it off. When asked about the accommodation and lack of bathroom / shower facility's we were stunning to be told you could shower in the toilet bucket and it was just some rain. As you can imagine the blood pressure was becoming dangerous and all the time the lady was saying you lie we had the budget tour due to what we paid. Refused to do anything when asked about a refund as we were left at sea and concerned as we didn't speak to find out where we were if Jurin wasn't their, or the fact that we were doing different things and not as the plan and thus miss out. We finally went to the police station, bad idea as local tribe people the big boss just laughed it off, I just want to know who to go to as we were ripped off over $1000 aus for the pleasure. Its sad when a tourist goes to another place and thinks they are being treated good as they want us to come back only to find out that this is very different and being placed in a situation that was both no one knew where we were or lost. || SHAMEFUL from the owner too do that to us and maybe place us in...
Read moreBooked in this hotel for a couple of nights just to have the chance to do the Komodo tour. Room full of mosquitos, ensuite with no toilet paper, empty soap dispenser and cold water (shower and sink).. Worst breakfast ever. We booked the tour inside the hotel for the next day, the receptionist explained every steps of the tour with her very little English, saying that we were going to do Komodo Island, Rinca Island, manta point and that was ALL INCLUDED in the price, 600000 rupiah each (paid to them). Well, the next day on the boat we found out that the rest of the group paid just 450000 rupiah for the tour, ALL OF THEM, and at the National Park we also paid 250000 rupiah each for the park fees when back at the hotel they said that was all included... We haven’t been to Rinca Island and the manta point where they took us wasn’t the right one but they let people jump in the water in the middle of the ocean, in a scuba diving site, to snorkeling with really strong current and lucky to got back on the boat. Very disappointed!! The hotel staff made us pay more than the rest of the group (150000 rupiah each) and said bullsh*t on the tour. I would never recommend to anybody to...
Read moreMost reviews here don't lie. Me and friends came here late at night (aroun 10.30pm) because of terrible mishap. |The staff who served us that day was so slow and indecisive. Looked like she was a trainee. No other staff helped her. I even helped her out to get a room ready for my group. Terribly pathetic. They offered unreasonable price, which then we negotiated. When we checked to online booking app, the actual price should have been less than they offered. |The room was quite spacious but the aircon was bit troublesome. Water in showerroom was bad (and it seemed that they made it out of service during 12am-6am period). The toilet needed to be fixed or removed. We could not flush properly. Breakfast was so so. Not so bad: some bread with tea/coffee (we did not expect good breakfast either). |Overall it was not a pleasant stay. Too bad that they did not do good on their business, esp ethics and services. Tourist (esp foreign ones) should be...
