Perfect calm and beautiful place to stay near Labuan Bajo (if you drive a scooter)

I’ve stayed in various places around Labuan Bajo and this one is by far my favourite. Loved everything! The staff and the manager André were super helpful and very friendly, great hospitality and delicious breakfast (they even went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten-intolerance, not only serving the (usual) rice but - upon my wish - potatoes instead :) Rooms: Very spacious rooms and bathrooms, all very clean and is cleaned every day. Shower: Great water pressure and hot water always available! I stayed for 2 weeks and had to change rooms 2 times because I always prolonged my stay last minute, and everyone was super helpful and all of the rooms were great. The location is top notch in my opinion, 8min with scooter to Labuan Bajo centre, very beautiful and calm road, the surrounding gardens of the Hotel are lush and beautiful, with birds chirping in the morning, and the trees help keeping it quiet and calm for a great night’s sleep. If you’re looking for a cheap but well maintained hotel this is it. Rooms are large and clean. The location isn’t great just because it’s a 15 minutes drive from city center and it doesn’t have any view from the rooms. So definitely get a scooter if you stay here. There is a mosque or church or monastery close by the broadcasts their morning prayers/singing at 4:30am and it was very loud (I am also a light sleeper). It would have been nice to know beforehand so I could get earplugs. The staff were great though. We has an early flight and they were sure to have our breakfast ready...

Lo más grave de nuestra estancia fue que nos robaron pertenencias personales dentro de la habitación (productos nuevos de aseo y comida). Aunque no tocaron objetos de valor, la situación fue muy desagradable y lo peor fue la reacción del responsable del hotel: primero lo negó todo y aseguró que las trabajadoras que entran a limpiar no utilizaban el producto para el pelo (que me desapareció). Curiosamente, unos minutos antes, una de ellas nos había ofrecido darnos de los suyos, debido a este incidente que inicialmente, le contamos a ella. Finalmente, el responsable, pidió disculpas a regañadientes y nunca más volvió a tratar el tema (no sabemos realmente lo que pasó...) Esta falta de seriedad y gestión es inaceptable.

Además de esto:

Servicio muy deficiente: el personal no sabe responder a dudas básicas (diferencias de desayunos, lavandería…), recibimos información contradictoria (por ejemplo, desde los mensajes de Booking, del hotel, nos indicaron que si hacían lavandería y una de las trabajadoras nos dijo que no).

Instalaciones y ubicación: lejos del centro, sobre todo MUY ruidoso (hay una mezquita al lado y hay rezos a las 04:30 am, durante media hora) y sin aislamiento de luz.

Desayunos: en dos ocasiones no nos dieron opción de box-breakfast (nos íbamos de excursión muy temprano), algo que en la mayoría de hoteles de la zona sí hacen.

En resumen: inseguro, mal gestionado y nada recomendable. Con tantas opciones buenas en Labuan Bajo, este hotel es de lo peor que...
