The bungalows are quite easy to find - just follow the road straight from the harbour, once you reach the end keep walking towards the lake, turn right at Rose Bungalow. If you feel lost ask any local and they will tell you! We took a horse from the harbour as felt would be easier with our luggage. |The bungalow is really cute, quite basic but charming. The bathroom is great, huge and half open ceiling. We really enjoyed our shower and the facilities worked fine, including wifi. The breakfast in the morning was lovely - scrambled eggs tasty and fruit plate juicy and delicious. |Staying here you feel like you are in a rural village, surrounded by cows, roosters croaking, the locals going about their business tending to their land and animals etc. I think the fact that the bungalows are so integrated with the local life gives a nice touch compared to the polished bungalows by the "busy" beach side of Gili Meno where you really can feel detached from reality. We really enjoyed this, it is large and spacious however it does mean there are a lot of mosquitos. The shower had a fresh water tap and a salt water tap, the fresh water is only on from 7.30am until 5pm - the only recommendation I could give is that maybe 10.30am until 8pm or 9.30 until 7pm would be better! People like to use the shower after a day at the beach to get rid of the salt and sand, that is to me more of a priority than showering in the morning.|||Lovely stay we would...
Read moreStayed one night here for around £16.00 per night with breakfast included. Lovely bungalows with large double bed, fan and bathroom. Really quite basic but clean and comfortable. The lady who greeted us at the 'road' leading to the property was extremely welcoming and friendly. It is tricky to find but there are signposts nailed around the island to guide you. There are just 4 bungalows all set in a pretty garden with views of the lake just beyond the trees. Beach is 10 minutes walk away...roughly...depending on which...
