New Sasak Cafe — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Decided to stop at the restaurant on our way back to our hotel. We ate here once before and dwcided to give it another try. We arrived at 2pm no one greeted us and we had to grab a menu from a different table. There was only one other party a family of 7 in therestaurant who had already started to recieve there food. 220 we finally were able to order. I got the burger and my partner got the friend noodle special. It took 45 minutes for the noodle dish and my burger came out nearly 20 minutes later! Again we were the only new customers in the restaurant...before our food arrived we noticed the family of 7 getting angry. The youngest member of the party a child never recieved his food. Everyone else had already finished theres by the time he got his plate.

I understand they cook for the sasak cafe thats on the beach however it still shouldnt take an hour to prepare the food we ordered. And it should come...

Went as a group of 4 and ordered 3 starters and 4 meals, as well as some water. The water came quickly enough, but the first 2 starters - chicken heaven - came half an hour later, which felt quite long considering there were only 4-5 other tables in the restaurant occupied. Those starters were okay, but the strange mix of sauce (pesto and thousand Island) detracted slightly. The other starter, chicken noodle soup, took another 10 minutes to arrive. The first lot of main meals arrived again, an hour after we had first sat down. Mine was good, but my friends did not enjoy theirs. When the chicken burrito arrived 1 hour 10 minutes after we first sat down, it was also not great and my friend ended up not finishing it. Its a nice location but the quality of the food, coupled with the wait time, is not...

For a cafe based on a really quiet gili meno it gets the job done as a pit stop. This is the "new" sasuk cafe. We were dropped here by our snorkal boat staff and the kitchen seems to get easily overwhelmed by the influx of orders and forget which table ordered what. Atmosphere is fine with island music pumping (maybe too loud). Don't wait for staff to come to you if they are busy! It took about 30 minutes to get an order so best to decide quickly and get it in if you are with a group. Food was decent for this kind of cafe but not the best. There is a really sad turtle pool at the one by the beach which i just wouldn't donate to as it doesn't look like any kind of conservation program and just a side show...
