Arion Suites Hotel Kemang — Hotel in Jakarta

Here are some notes I took regarding this hotel:

Dirty Room – As soon as we checked in and entered the room, we stepped on a floor full of sand, dust, and hair.

Unhygienic Cleaning Service – I immediately requested the room to be cleaned. However, the cleaning staff only sprayed liquid from a water bottle twice onto the floor and then mopped it with a foul-smelling mop. As a result, while the dust was removed, the room ended up smelling musty.

Terrible Bathroom Condition – The sink was filthy and covered in limescale. The toilet seat had visible water stains. The bidet had extremely weak water pressure—urine flows stronger than that. The provided toilet paper was minimal, and by nighttime, it had already run out.

Broken Desk Lamp – The desk lamp was not working. I requested assistance to fix it, but no one came until I checked out.

No Soundproofing – I was aware that there is a nightclub below the hotel, so some noise was expected. However, at 2 AM, guests from two rooms—who I suspect were "LC or nightclub guests" checking in at dawn—had a loud argument, severely disturbing our sleep.

Breakfast Not Fresh – The mixed vegetables served at the restaurant were no longer fresh and had a sour taste, making them inedible.

Ramadan Policy – I expected an internationally-classed hotel to handle breakfast service better. When I checked in, the receptionist informed me that breakfast might be delivered to the room due to Ramadan unless at least 20 guests opted for breakfast. Even though most guests might be fasting, shouldn't the hotel still provide...

I decided to try this hotel (from Sept, 1st - 2nd) because of its location. It's in Kemang area, there is McDonald's nearby, coffeshop in front of the hotel and wellknown clubs in walking distance (less than 5 minutes walk), nice spa accross the hotel and food market also nearby.

Arrived on Friday afternoon and found out they have a celebration for the new owner of the hotel, and parking space is an issue that day. They have a hotel security that help to park the car, so I leave the key to them and later they bring the key to my room, nice serveice.

Room price is ok and space is adequate for solo travel, I took a double bed room. Bath room is clean , if they can put some fragnance it will be better. The shower water flow need to be improved. Aircon is good.

Found out that they have a club on the basement, named FOS. My room is on the 3rd floor and I still can heard (not loud but still can heard) and feel the bass sound from the club (btw, the club close at 4pm). Its took a while for me to go to sleep.

I'm not taking the breakfast package so can't give any review on it. :D

With the hotel location and good price, will a little bit improvement on the room it should be a prefered hotel for people what to roaming around Kemang area.

Parking space on the basement its quite small, if the hotel full with guess I think it will be easily full and car need to park on the ground level surrounding the hotel builing (still on the hotel premises).

This hotel is not worth a penny unless what you are looking for is location. Location is strategic, nearby lots of food stalls and coffee shop.

However the hotel itself is a disaster. Aircond doesnt work. When I told the receptionist, the send a technician to look at it and he claimed that it was fixed. But it wasnt. housekeeping services was so bad. They didnt clean the bin, sweep the floor and change the towel. Worst was they fold the wet towel and just put where it was hang (even if it is on the bed, chair or in the toilet). I even purposely let the tissue box open so that I want them to refill the tissue yet they just close it and out it back on the shelf. selection of breakfast was limited and almost the same everyday. it does not taste good either their in-house spa was so lazy that no one sit at the front desk to share what services they are offering. They were actually at the back room, playing with their phone while laying on the floor. toilet was dirty with mould around the wall

Not too mention the hotel's furniture is rusty, some broken, smelly and not properly maintained. Avoid coming here if you are expecting a...
