Overall, we had a good but not great stay in Uluwatu with great service by Fransiska, but not so good price-to-value ratio However, we generell struggled to find accommodation in Uluwatu as prices where quite high even for one with not so good ratings
Good: Large rooms with comfortable bed and nice terrace in front of rooms Small and quite complex with only 6 apartments in total Good and fast laundry service Good location to reach everything in Uluwatu with own motorbike, Grab or Goyek within 10 min (one ride with Grab bike for less than 1€) Good service level by Fransiska who always responded super quick via WhatsApp to improve your stay Provided many towels in the room (3 per persons) which has been rare on our trip trough Bali and Lombok
To improve: Bathroom always had an unpleasant smell from the sink and when showering the whole bathroom got wet breakfast offered only very little choice, portions were quite small and only one day we got the fruit shot that was promised on the menu The complex doesn’t look as nice as on the photos and the attention to detail can be improved (e.g., on the first day of our stay a dog pooed on the grass in front of our apartment and nobody cleaned it during our 4 night stay) + the pool was a little dirty and not super inviting to chill there for a...
Read moreUnfortunately this was the first place I've checked out of early. I booked this hotel via airbnb in Jan 2025. On arrival I was greeted warmly by the hosts and shown to my room. Breakfast was provided for free daily which was appreciated. The room decor is also pleasant and calming.
I then spent 2 sleepless nights here. The first night I was kept up by some very noisy geckos. This was fine since nature is unavoidable. However the second night guests from another room were up all night singing karaoke in the shared living space. I went to ask if they could keep it down but they continued singing till 2am.
I decided I couldn't take another day and informed Francesca I was checking out early the next day. Her service was impeccable and they immediately offered to refund the remaining night I had at the hotel. They also took my feedback into consideration and said they would take note for future guests.
Other small points is that I felt the place was not well-maintained and looked older compared to the photos. There were also a lot of insects at the front porch area. It is located quite out of the way from the main attractions at uluwatu, but transport is easily accessible via grab/ gojek.
Overall I would say that you can still consider staying here if you are not particular about noise. But I would...
Read moreMy overall experience considering the price that we paid here was one star but I give one more star for Francesca’s efforts. When we arrived first day at 8pm the toilet trash had litter from previous guests and leftover from them in the fridge which made me doubt if the room is cleaned and bedsheets are changed. This was a really bad start to our stay and there was nothing to compensate but they said only sorry (they could have given free dinner). The other morning, we used the toilet without knowing there’s a water breakage which is unlucky. But the bad thing is we were informed only when we went out, not in advance. There’s a constant smell in the bathroom, I guess from the pipes. Breakfast is small and simple. In the terrace there are two chairs (uncomfortable) and a coffee table. So, you need to find a way to eat your breakfast on the coffee table. All other rooms had a bean bag in their terraces but we didn’t - I don’t know why. Welcome massage is done in either in the room on the bed or by the pool on a sunbed - not on a massage bed. Massage overall was random squeezes and pressures. I suggest to go somewhere to get a massage and don’t waste time with the welcome massage. I see the good intentions of the management but this is not enough...
