Hotel Kharisma Madiun — Hotel in Madiun

We stayed here for one night recently on a road trip from Bali to Yogyakarta. It was a mistake. Although we arrived approaching 4pm our room was 'not yet ready' as they'd offered the previous occupant late checkout. Surely, it may have been prudent to see if the room was booked before offering late checkout but it appears not. They then advised us to upgrade our room as the one we had booked was too small. At this point, we really smelt a rat but pressed on and took the upgraded room for 70000rp more. It turned out to be a concrete box with no windows, so the wifi didn't work. It had been poorly cleaned with sticky liquid still spilt on the floor, no toilet paper and a blocked drain in the shower. Despite our request, they didn't do anything to fix the drain so we were left with a flooded bathroom floor.|Breakfast was an interesting experience and not really one I'd care to repeat anytime soon. This hotel is in the center of the town, near to Madiun railway station, near to hospital. I stayed in Business Type room which i choosed 2 single bed. The wifi is okay, there are TV and hot water. The breakfast was so so & i got 2 bottles of mineral water for welcome drink. However when i stayed here, the hotel is under construction so that it's so noisy till i couldn't take a rest. An then on my room i found a cokcroach. Ew! And AC in my room is so noisy too cause it's the old one, & it's beoke cause The Air conditioner keeps producing water so the floor on my room became wet. What can I say. We we're travelling with 7 people and needed a place to stay. The ratings here on TA were positive. The room has no window. Had no toilet paper. The bed had a sheet over the mattress and stain and hair filled fleece blanket at the foot of the bed. Under the bed....don't look. Under our friend's mattress they found a discarded condom package. The water doesn't drain from the shower. The water took 10 minutes to heat up. Needless to say...we are not going to have breakfast here and would never ever recommend this to...
