Borobudur Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Muntilan

The hotel is beautifully designed with big rooms. They also have a restaurant that opens until midnight located in the lobby. However, the restaurant just sells Indomie and tea. It also has board games for customers to play. This hotel also offers other fun activities.

My biggest issue with this hotel is their ordering system. I came here to visit Borobudur during Vesak day. And during this time, many people will flock to this city, including this hotel. The main issue is that I already ordered three weeks earlier from an online travel website (Traveloka). When my family and I almost reach this hotel, the Traveloka customer service called us and ask whether we want to change our hotel. It's strange, considering we already ordered a few weeks earlier for the deluxe room and ask whether we want to cancel a few hours before we arrived. So, we said no. We also message the receptionist whether we can still check in because it was already night, and they said yes. But, when we arrived, the receptionist said that the deluxe room was already filled and he said the Traveloka agent told them that we want to cancel our room. It's strange, who wants to cancel their deluxe room when it's almost midnight. The hotel receptionist moved us to a smaller room in the pavilion room, which is way cheaper. The manager, who the receptionist called, was also unable to give a solution. When we are in the lobby, some other customers reach us and talk to us. Turn out there are 3 families who face the same issue on that same day. They arrive earlier and have ordered a deluxe room online to be told the deluxe room is filled when they arrived. Why did three families have booked the same deluxe room on the same day and all three families are asked to move to smaller rooms or another hotel? When I see the Google Map review on this hotel, I found some other people also face this issue before. I think they have to create a better system for online ordering. If there's no more room, don't sell it to customers. If you want someone to pay a higher price for your deluxe room because it's a high season, then sell it to one customer at your desired price. It's pity that this is happening to customers, even though the receptionist is friendly and the room is OK. Hope the management of this hotel can...

The staff- very friendly & helpful. I hired an ‘ojek’/ motorbike driver to bring me around from them, nice & humble man. Cleanliness- new building- perfect. Comfortable bed, although the room has no view outside. (The rooms have small fixed window, but they put something on it hence no view at all).||However, on the downside, bicycle costs rp50k for 3 hours, where standard in indonesia is about rp30k/ day. Motorbike rp100k/ 24 hr, and its not readily available. It takes a while until they confirmed that it’s available (outsource, not owned by hotel). Location- if you dont have transport, its a bit of difficult to move around. Very limited option for eating places. For the price paid, i think it should include tv because night time, there’s nowhere near to go especially for guests with no transport.. Niat awal ke magelang karena takziah ketempat saudara yg meninggal. Karena perjalanan jauh dari bekasi maka nyari tempat menginap sebelum pulang esok harinya. Nyari2 penginapan cari2 di agoda dapetlah yg deket rumah saudara itu. Akses kesini jalurnya sama ke arah borobudur, klo yg mau ke borobudur bisa jadi alternatif pilihan menginap. Lokasinya di pinggir jalan, masuk sedikit dibelakang toko souvenir selasar borobudur. Areanya luas, mobil kecil sampe bus pun bisa masuk ke areanya. Didepannya ada toko oleh2 bakpia, ada resto, sama toko souvenir. Pemesanan penginapan bisa via agoda atau japri WA juga bisa. Area penginapan ada yg gedung depan, ada juga gedung baru. Tapi walaupun gedung depan sudah bangunan lama tapi kondisinya masih terawat. Di gedung lama ada kamar yg isinya double bed single, ada juga yg 1 bed besar. Ada ruang tamunya juga & teras. Kondisi kamar baik, ada AC, TV, water heater, tapi memang tidak ada lemari baju, hanya rak rak kecil saja. Di gedung lama masih pakai kunci manual, bukan kunci otomatis. Tersedia kopi, teh, cangkir & teko listrik di kamar. Dikamar mandi tersedia handuk, sikat gigi & sabun. Untuk harga cukup terjangkau, dah dapet sarapan juga nasi goreng. Over all untuk yg mau menginap atau transit sebelum ke borobudur bisa disini. Just info : tarif perkamar, waktu itu nginep di hari senin bulan februari 2024 Rp. 320.000 untuk yg type standar & Rp. 400.000 yg type superior. Ga tau deh klo weekend harganya jadi berapa. Tapi adminnya asik, bisa pesen via telp / WA. Disini juga ada kolam rendam dari bak kayu, bisa buat rame2. Ada juga rental sepeda, jeep, atv, andong, tinggal hubungi resepsionis aja mau rental yg mana. Saran aja sih mungkin perlu dikasih lemari juga didlm kamar, atau rak yg agak besar lah buat nyimpen barang2. Trus lebih bagus lagi klo dikasih petunjuk arah kiblat di tiap kamarnya.
