We read the good reviews and booked this hotel. We were very disappointed, we booked for 6 nights at 392€. For 392€ the sheets were dirty when we arrived, we reported it to the reception, employees came to change them while we were waiting in front of the room and we checked the sheets after them but they were still dirty they had not bothered to change all the sheets on the bed, the room was dirty. The hotel is made of wood, quite noisy, and we had 3 power cuts over 3 nights during our 6-night stay: we were many times in total darkness without electricity, we managed it with our headlamp, without the possibility of recharging cell phones and without being able to take a shower. The power cuts were repeated several days in a row, no one at the reception came by to warn guests of what was happening, every night we were stressed to be able to take a shower and to have electricity. When we went down to the reception with other guests to ask for a financial compensation for having had 3 power cuts over 6 nights, we also wrote to Booking, they refused, claiming that it's not their fault, it's the whole upper island that's like that. To resume: the positive points are the view, the free nemo shuttle to the beach, a parking for scooters, one small toiletry kit offered in the room, and a welcome drink offered at the mambo beach restaurant. Negative points: dirty sheets, dirty room, several power cuts, noisy hotel, don't book the lower rooms, they're full of caterpillars and they end up at the bottom of the pool, the food is not good, the hotel is on a hill far from the beach, so you need a scooter or the hotel's free shuttle to get there, depending on the shuttle's schedules. For the price we paid and the stay we had at this hotel, we regretted our stay and we will never return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mambo Hills Resort and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The hotel itself is stunning, with its modern design and luxurious amenities. The lobby is spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the efficient and friendly staff who made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Upon entering my room, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. The room was tastefully furnished with comfortable bedding, a well-appointed bathroom, and all the necessary amenities one could ask for. The view from my window was breathtaking, offering a picturesque scene of the city skyline.  One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met promptly and efficiently. Whether it was arranging transportation or providing recommendations for local attractions, their knowledge and willingness to assist were truly commendable. Overall, my experience at this hotel exceeded all expectations. From its beautiful aesthetics to its impeccable service, this hotel truly knows how to create a memorable stay for its guests. Whether you're traveling for diving or leisure, I highly recommend considering this hotel for your next visit - you won't be disappointed!

Beware: All these five-star reviews here are unreliable. The hotel gives you a gift (T-shirt, etc.) if you write a review and show it to them. It's against Google's terms of service to offer perks or gifts for reviews. We chose the hotel based on the good reviews. Overall, our stay was pleasant, and I can recommend the hotel, but it wasn't as good as you might think based on the high ratings. The view from the room is breathtaking, and the direct pool access is great. However, many small details aren't quite right. For example, our bedsheets had a large stain, the safe in the room didn't work, and at breakfast I once received a fork that wasn't clean and still had food stuck to it. Except for the first day, we never received small towels for our hair, not even when we asked for them. The food in the restaurant is relatively expensive, but the taste is only average. Contrary to what some reviews claim, the hotel does not rent scooters or assist with rentals. I asked about it on the first day, but was simply told to inquire at the sister hotel, several kilometers away. I then looked for a company on Google that would deliver the scooter to the hotel. Due to the remote location, a scooter is almost essential, so it would be nice if the hotel offered one or at least recommended a rental company.

I stayed at this beautiful resort in August last year and am finally writing a review. I stayed with my best friend, we chose the property for the pictures and wonderful reviews and we loved our time there, hmmm lets see where to start. This wonderful boutique hotel has so much going for it and considering its very new and the owners and management is making constant improvements I greatly looking forward to my next visit very soon. The story of the owners (from Japan) and the build is wonderful and I highly encourage taking the time to read about it (in the lobby). The wife has a green thumb and has made it a green wonderland and made it vibrant and tranquil with all the gorgeous plants and flowers. I really feel if they could have a spa/massage room or therapist here it would absolutely make it a perfect getaway. I am a spa therapist and every time I come to Indonesia or Thailand which is often the main thing i want is a good pool, views, comfy bed, good food but mostly a great massage every day and on that last point Nusa Penida really let me down we had some absolutely terrible massage places and we went on google ratings! So being able to get a good massage on site would just make it perfect!

Things I just loved: The beautiful color pallet, decor, building design, plants and interior design. The rooms are small but absolutely beautiful. Beds are big, good quality (medium firm) lots of wonderful pillows and lovely linen. The incredible view from the property and divine infinity pool, best place for sunsets! Their coconut cocktails! Management was amazing, making sure all our queries were met, extremely friendly and helpful. The fact they offer transfers up and down the hill to their other property is great (definitely recommend the food down there). They also help with ferry tickets, scooter rental and can pick up and drop off to ferry port.

Things to be aware of: The rooms are not very sound proof Many of the general staff were still learning the swing of things and didn't always understand our requests (be patient with them and speak to management if needed, remember this is a new and slowly developing island, everyone is trying their best, the more support they have the better). Much of the food on the island isn't amazing - better to stick with local dishes.

Recommendations for owners: An espresso coffee machine at the Hill Property. A in house massage and spa to if possible, with well trained therapists (I can help set that up if your interested). Love to see a replacement for the fake grass out by the bar/pool area if it hasn't already been done. Its the only thing that feels a little out of place and cheap quality. Some good training for your chefs with the quality of meals served, especially for the international dishes. A reliable contact for a safe and good quality ferry service to and from Bali.

I'm really looking forward to my next visit!!!

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay and I'm so sorry for the delay in getting my...
