Garuda Hotel — Hotel in Padang

If you need budget then this is a great place to stay. it is basic but clean and friendly. I needed somewhere simply to sleep and have a basic breakfast. Mine was only a one night stay.||||This isn't really a hotel to stay at for the hotel experience. The rooms are basic. You can choose a room with a/c or non a/c (fans are adequate). The bathrooms consist of a basin and 'non-sitting' toilet. The bedding is scant but clean. The breakfast is a basic Indonesian noodle but is tasty and a part of the price.||||I was quite happy to have somewhere like this put my head down for the evening. It is a great place if you are backpacking. All the staff members are friendly and attentive. ||||The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the nearest beach where you can have a basic meal. 20 minutes (and slightly south) from some bigger beach bars. There is a bustling market just outside the hotel. Taxis are very easy to flag down. Just under 100,000 Rupiah from the airport. (At the time - $7.5 US and £5.30). You will have to pay a taxi tax from the airport of 15000 Rupiah at a desk out side. It sounds a lot when they ask but that is just over a USD and just under a Pound!||||Back to the hotel. Beside helpful recetionist, other then that are really awful.

The flooring tiles has delapidated qhen we walk up the stairs. Need to be extra careful as one might tripped over the pop-up tiles.

The room's air-cond wasnt funtioning; just blowing out warm air. I was sweating perfusely, really perfusely. For the one night we were there, I need to shower myself almost every hour as I was drenched in the warm and humid month of May. Really unbearable. And the water shower was broken, making matter worst. The toilet doesnt looks clean either.

There isnt a proper receptionist present after 7pm or maybe 8pm. Nowhere to complaint of the bad amnities.

Hope they can get the basic amnities fix, bcoz people like us has no choice once we were there. This is bcoz late at night its impossible to move to another hotel.

The uncluded breakfast was also beyond words; horrible is a little too kind.

Resepsionistnya ramah..mau reset jadwal check in saya. GARUDA itu hotel dengan suasana old tapi cukup nyaman. Tenang,dan lumayan bersih walo berada di pusat perdagangan. Kemana2 deket..cukup pesen ojol..transportasi juga lancar. Buat room..roomnya kecil..fasilitas ada meja, nakas tempat tidur,dapet twinbed, ada TV tp g bisa ditonton karna model tv tabung,jd kl dihidupkan berisik sekali,kamar agak pengap,no window,ac oke..tp banyak nyamuk..tolong diperhatikan deh sama manajemennya.. Kamar mandi ada shower tp g ada air panas, dan yg mengganggu itu pintu kamar mandi nya rusak dan g bisa ditutup..jd g nyaman deh kl mau ke kamar mandi..semoga segera diperbaiki Sarapan dikasih nasi goreng sama bubur kacang ijo..rasa?biasa aja Kl buat transit numpang tidur semalem..okelah..kl mau tinggal lama saya rasa kurang nyaman..but thankyou..semoga kedepan roomnya bisa diperbaiki yaa..jd...
