The Mango Moon Guesthouse is the best place I've stayed during my 3 months trip through Indonesia, so that I came back here for three (!!!) more times after my first visit- just because I loved this place and its people so much. ||||The Guesthouse is hidden in a side street- far from the main road (what makes the place quite calm) but only 5 minutes walkway to the beach. ||||You will live in one (of four) big and VERY CLEAN room in the middle of the lushest and greenest garden I have ever experienced in a Homestay. The open bathroom and the hot water is another big plus! The atmosphere is so quiet, relaxing, peaceful- I had the possibility to calm down and to free my mind totally. Tip: use one of the hammocks in the garden, read a good book and listen to the sounds of nature.||||The WiFi was always working, even if there were many guests using it and also for watching videos. All no problem at all. ||||Scooter (and also massages!!!) as well as any other transports and services can be organized very quickly. You can also have a delivery service here- when you are too lazy to get out or when it is raining and a laundry service for the best price is just next door! ||||Putu is cleaning the rooms every day and puts much love in making your breakfast- lots of fruit and a big portion for the perfect start in the day. Always served with a smile. Add: best pancakes here!!! ||||Kadek, the owner, is also a diving instructor. I made my course with him and even I was a little afraid, he was so professional and caring that I lost my fear very quickly. ||Through him I could also learn a lot about the balinese culture and traditions, when he was bringing me and the other guests to different kinds of ceremonies while explaining everything. ||Furthermore he is a good contact person for insider tips around Pemuteran, locations for nice sunsets, good and cheap local food, and every other kind of advise. ||A big highlight were our beach parties and get-togethers with people from all around the world. Thank you a lot, Kadek- for everything! ||||The value, you are getting for the price here is unbeatable. Best deal, at other places here people pay more and get less. ||Not only a comfy bed, a cheap room and delicious breakfast, but a warm contact and new local friends are waiting for you at the Mango Moon Guesthouse. ||At least I stayed here for one month in total, but I would definitely come back :-) ||||A real paradise for everybody; solo-travellers, couples and families. Highly...
Read moreWe stayed almost one week in the homestay Mango Moon, where we met many friendly people and a wonderful place to be. ||Whenever we had a question about the village, the people, the language or else - or a favour to ask, there was someone to help us, as if we belonged to the family. If we chose to eat at the homestay, Dewi would come to ask us what we would like to eat and drink. For example her dragonfruit-pancakes with banana and coco were heavenly! I miss them already... And, of course, the lime-juice! Try them, it's like lemonade, but made with fresh fruit and healthier. ||The homestay is not huge, but just big enough to hold a pool, a little hut where you could read or just hang out, at least four houses to host guests, a small fish-pool, a kitchen with tables and chairs, the homes of our hosts, some cats and some chicken. The bathroom would be behind the house, open air, with a little bit of roof, but mostly sky above (which once made it difficult for me to use the toilet, whilst having my knees and legs in the pouring rain...) ||It is also neatly decorated with handcrafted details here and there. :-)||The only not-so-perfect moments were, when Ella was walking around, seeming upset or stressed out about something, and also talking to the staff in that kind of manner. It made me think about what could be the problem and if I should try to talk to her or try to ignore the mood. But as there were many possibilities to escape the mood, it was not a big deal. ||For around the homestay, you'd be at the beach in a bit more than 10 minutes by foot, you'd be around other people in basically no time, or you'd be in little stores to see artsy crafted things all around (jewellery, decorative objects, useful...
