HARRIS Hotel Sentraland Semarang — Hotel in Semarang

The hotel is conveniently placed in the centre of the city. The city main attraction and hangout place (simpang lima) and malls are only about 700 m to 1 km away. Just below the hotel there is Superindo grocery store, so you dont need to go far to buy some stuffs if you forgot to bring from home. The staffs are also very friendly. The hotel and also the room is very clean. Other facilities are also clean. Food in the resto also good (said my wife, because I was fasting and did not eat there. However like other hotels, they did offer a choice of sahur or breakfast in the morning). Some downside, the parking is very inconvenient. The hotel staff told you to park in parking floor 5B, which is a very long way to go from ground floor (when almost all the parking space from ground floor until 5A were empty). There are no mirrors in the parking lot when you drive up and down the ramp, which means you cannot see other vehicle coming up and down the other ramp because your view is obstructed by the wall of the ramp. Surely they should install mirrors in the parking lot, it will be very dangerous if someone speed up thru the parking ramps. Also the ramps were a bit narrow. A driver in front of me was driving a Pajero, and he had a hard time trying to maneuver his way onto the ramps. Perhaps the hotel should also consider putting the lobby in the ground floor, so people can check in and out in the ground floor instead of going to 7th floor first fo checking out and then going to ground floor. I was curious because of one video on TikTok that showed Pasar Tumpah. And YES. It's totally followed by the crowd. I arrived there around 7.30 and WOW i had to wait in line for so many orders, but it's worth the wait.

I ordered some menus: the Steak & Soto Tangkar were truly the best. The taste was top notch. I also had Churros for takeaway & it's delicious. I loved how the batter melted in my mouth.

The service? Trully a class. The staffs were helpful, full of smile even they're busy with the pile of orders. One question for sure, how could they maintain to still smile & give the best service while cooking & serving?

The price was good. I wonder how they could sell the menus on low prices while they gave the right combo to customers? The delicate food, the incredible services from the staffs, and the low prices.
