The name Kurogi. Located at Jalan Ahmad Yani 167 A, I immediately made it a lunch place. Kurogi is on the 2nd floor, so I have to climb the stairs which, hmm, is installer! The stairs outside the building are indeed nicely designed and attractive, inviting anyone, including me, to take pictures. Entering Kurogi, I was impressed by the aesthetically pleasing room and furniture, the beautiful music that was playing, and the smell of the room which, hmm, smelled of coffee! A friendly waiter then finds a seat. I chose to sit near the open bar so I could see all the processes behind the bar table closer. What is unique from Kurogi is that almost all of the menus are fusion food, aka food made by combining several "cultures", including the two Kurogi mainstays that I ordered. For the patty, Kurogi serves seasoned chicken katsu that is given mayonnaise sauce and its own spicy mayo. Then, to resemble sushi, the burger is also wrapped in a savory piece of nori. The size of Sushi Burger is quite right for me, especially because there are additional fries....
Read moreWould've given 5 stars but the rice served on the curry dish was disappointing. It was either not steamed in the right way or they used cheap quality one as the rice was medium-firmly cooked and not fluffy like I would expect from a resto charging you pricey. Their recommended beverage nailed it, you need to try their healthy green juice whatever the name is😁, here. It will refresh your palate from the thick spices with a hint of perfect sourness. The kuro ramen got a bit stronger kick of sesame seeds and tad salty imo, it might not be suitable for some who favor dish with mediocre spices. Oh and the portion was huge, better be prepared with three quarters empty space of your stomach when coming here or just do share a portion for two if you would. Might save some of your cash too and your other balances as...
