Horison Inn Alaska Simpang Lima Semarang — Hotel in Semarang

Am a solo traveller, and I have decided this will be my first and last to stay at this hotel.||I'm a smoker, and always book a smoking room. The standard procedure that I know, normally when no more smoking room, they will ask to upgrade your room. Maybe with a lil top up. ||But this hotel? Kinda force me to downgrade. "We are sorry sir, if you need a smoking room, you can only downgrade, but no cash back to u if you do so".||Blame me on my smoking habit, and so I need to take.... willingly or unwillingly. :)||||That one is not the worst part. .....||Go inside the room... I found that this hotel is not really new hotel as what it is publish... This hotel looks like a new refurbish hotel. The lift itself, looks dirty. The ceramic floor inside the room, looks like being painted to cover some marks I guess. ||And the most ridiculous part? They provide TV, but no remote? hahaha.||I need to wait for them to give me the remote TV again. ||When i get the remote.... I tried, but cannot use. Check on the battery, there's batttery in it. try to press, the remote infrared is blinking. Means nothing wrong with the remote, it's only not compatible with the TV. ||So again I need to complain again.... what a hotel !!!||||The next morning? i go down to have my breakfast. To my shocking.... The fried kwetiaw doesn't look like kwetiaw. It looks like they put too much water, and become soggy. OMG.||The 1st hotel that I have my breakfast, but the breakfast not presentable at all. No need to say about the taste. ||||Sorry, but it's a bad experience for me. And this hotel is not that cheap to be frank comparing to the same...

Dirty, dusty, broken bits of furnitures you name it.. i cant say anything great about this place my stay here was perhaps one of the worst stays at a hotel. The rooms are in dire need of a makeover or atleast extreme cleaning and fixing, there was stains almost everywhere bed sheets, towels, floors, walls almost everywhere there are some type of stains. And on top of all that at night i couldnt even get any sleep due to the karaoke place right next door.||||The rooms we booked were a connecting room between suite and superior nothing great about the suite room either just an addition of living room and bath tub and i'd say not worth your money at all, suite room with very low standards.. and then breakfast service... not just the food is bad but they had ran out of almost everything which includes coffee and tea and took them ages to refill||||We had so many times complaint to the staff but there isnt much they could do. ||I dfinitely do not recommend this place and will definitely never return. First...
