Hotel Sinabung Hills Berastagi — Hotel in Sumatra

SINABUNG HILLS HOTEL – BERASTAGI, INDONESIA||On our last day to Lake Toba region in Sumatra, Indonesia (in November 2017) we checked in at the lovely, scenic Resort Sinabung Hills at Jalan Kolam Renang in Berastagi 46.7 km from Medan. Our room was comfortable and large with a balcony where we faced the pool and the large garden that was planted with blooming flowers and ornamental plants and trees. Rooms come in various types of Deluxe or Superior Rooms, President or Junior Suites, and Suite or Deluxe Cottages. All 106 rooms were provide free WiFi, balconies, and 24-hour room service. LCD TVs, coffee makers, slippers, free toiletries, a hair dryer and showers. We must declare that Wifi provided in the rooms came on and off during use and the lights went out for half a minute, other than that everything was fine. If you book online you may get a room with free buffet breakfast for S$48. There were also shops at the property. Cars and bikes can be rented at the property.||Sinabung Hill Restaurants consists of three sections of the coffee shop on the terrace, the main dining room and the lounge and grill. We were spoiled for taste by the wide-spread buffet breakfast and dinner of International and local cuisines. ||Suited on a hill gave the hotel a bone-chilling atmosphere when you have to go out to enjoy your morning stroll through the garden. The town is only a short stroll of 15 minutes. Excellent hotel with restaurant and massive pool on spacious and lush grounds. Staff speaks some English, credit cards, cash and e-wallet options accepted.

Beautiful hotel located on a hilltop in Berestagi providing excellent views of the volcano in the distance. 100+ rooms available on three floors, at least some of the rooms are connected to form a larger suite suitable for larger families.

Rooms and beds are comfortable and spacious. TVs with local channels in all. Bathrooms include basic toiletry amenities. Wi-fi is available in the lobby and in the rooms and can be slow during peak-demand times (late evening). Suitable for light browsing and e-mail but probably not for streaming.

Restaurant serves throughout the day and breakfast may be included in your reservation. Breakfast is buffet style and features primarily Indonesian and Chinese breakfast options but they also have an omelet station and an option for toasted white bread and a few cold cereal options. Juices, tea and coffee.

Staff is extremely friendly and happy to assist you however you need. The pool is available until 10pm and is most popular in the morning hours. Weekends can be extremely busy and crowded so weekday visits are highly recommended for more personalized service. It was so lovely and amazing trip where I can have chance to come and stay at Sinabung Hills Berastagi Medan.||Skip a night from the busy hustle Medan city is a good choice to be in quite fresh cold place and see the nature blend with the great hospitality products and services.||Drove about 2 hours from Medan and recommended during weekdays instead of weekend and when you enter the Hotel area and go inside to the back side of Hotel then you can see how beautiful it is.||Lobby is big enough with plenty of space, nice restaurant with amazing view.
