Namira Syariah Hotel Surabaya — Hotel in Surabaya

Staff were very helpful. We did not have a booking as visiting Surabaya was impromtu. But they still accommodated to us despite being fully booked online. We needed 2 rooms and had requested to have the rooms beside each other. Despite informing us that we had to be on seperate floors, they worked it out and got us adjacent rooms! When we had to extend our stay, again the reception managed to get us 2 adjacent rooms to move into (of a different room type, hence the shift). They assured us to stay in our rooms and will call once they got it sorted. They got us rooms on the same floor - shifting was a breeze. I have to say that my experience didn't met my expectation. The toilet smell bad, drainage was clogged, and its toothpaste was expired. The room itself was dirty with stained bed and floor. And also it was full of little roaches roaming around.

We arrived after maghrib and we did our prayer in the room. But, as the room service changed the bed cover (we requested as it was stained dirty), they still put their shoes on EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW that we did our prayer in the room.

I know it was a 2-star hotel and it costed fairly cheap, but it didn't lived by its name. Cleanliness is a part of iman, right? I think Sharia is not only about quran recitation 24 hours through speaker and sajda. Otherwise, thank you for the experience hope you guys do it...

The hotel was very neat and tidy. The middle eastern design gave a classy look to the hotel and the facilities as well as the amenities were top notch. I would recommend this hotel to those who would like some personal space and just enjoy quiet vibes. There are electronic bikes for rent that you can use and are parked at the entrance of the lobby for your convenience. I highly recommend it.||||P.s. the Wi-Fi in indonesia is really bad but the hotel had a very good connection. The Tv's dont have the Smart feature so you cant watch use internet on your TV, only satellite channels. Something the hotel should consider.
