There are many things wrong with this hotel. I would avoid it like the plague, if possible. ||||1. Location. VERY difficult to find. I had to call the hotel (I tried five times - no answer. this is explained by the fact that the reception desk is rarely manned). After half and hour they called me back on my phone. NOTE) to give directions to my driver - who is from the Solo area! Finally, they just drove out to rescue us and lead us back to the hotel! There is one small sign, obscured by a tree, on the nearby main road - point the wrong way up a narrow ONE WAY street.||||2. Check in was horrible. No chairs in front of the reception desk. Have to bend over to write! The Xerox machine took fifteen minutes to get working. The swipe of my credit card took another 15 minutes, including the statement that the card had been canceled, reversed when I showed the man my receipt for lunch an hour before.||||3. the room was dirty. Seems the cleaners had not heard of mopping closer than four inches from the wall.||||4. The first WATCH OUT is based on: blood and "yellow spots" (to quote my wife) on the top sheet. On closer inspection, the whole sheet had not been washed recently or had been only partially washed in cold water for a long time.||||5. NO toilet paper. Instead an "eco wash" system that involved turning a know and a tube came out ans sprayed water between your buttocks. The danger of this tube becoming filthy and transmitting fecal matter among users is high unless it is thoroughly cleaned. But see above for cleaning in this hotel!||||6. Now the bid WATCH OUT! ||||a. As stated above, the telephone in this hotel "captured" my phone number. ||b. Our driver stayed at the hotel also - and chatted with the employees as they watch the world cup. He told them his and our names and out plans for the next day (drive to Jogja and then he would leave in the night to return to Jakarta.||c. The next night I received texts and phone calls allegedly from my driver (using his name) and pleading for 5 million rupiah ($450) to pay off the police and for his hospital bills. TOTAL SCAM. The closeness to SlametRiadi road is quiet an advantage since it would easier to go to Keraton (The Royal Mangkunegaran Palace), Triwindu Antique Market, Kampoeng Batik, and also easy access to out of town. ||||As a repeater guest, I felt pampered by the friendly staffs in all level and feel stay in own home.
