Stayed here for two nights. The first night went down without incident. There was a match on the Saturday and all the parking spaces were taken up. Not all of them were people staying at the hotel. I went in to ask the manager who was at the reception desk where should we park. She told me I could park anywhere so I parked up out of the way of the road. She came out saw where we had parked and said nothing to us. Then a bang comes to the door and she starts telling me she’s going to clamp the car and call the guards. I tell her to provide me a car parking space and we will move the car. she started screaming and shouting which was highly unprofessional. With this we went out to the car to make sure she didn’t touch it. From there she tried to tell us we were blocking a fire exit. There were three cars blocking the fire exit and we informed her of this and she told us that if a fire happened everyone would die because of us. This is not true as she told us that the cars parked in-front of the fire exit were staff and that they could park wherever they wanted to even though they were parked in front of the fire exit. She then proceed to make smart remarks and continued to shout at us. A member of staff came out and offered to move their car so that we could park ours. I said all this to the oncoming manager the day of checkout and he said he would look into it.
Overall we were very disappointed and shocked at what came to pass that day. No paying customer should ever be treated with such disrespect. There needs to be a better system laid out in the event of a match taking place as its not right that match goers get to park and block up the car park of the hotel, stopping residents of the hotel from parking their cars who have payed to stay at the hotel. And going off the other reviews that people have left for this establishment, there is clearly a case of blatant unprofessionalism which is very apparent and...
Read moreHave to change this review because I was charged twice for my room. I guess we double booked through Expedia. I'd say do not use Expedia because the hotel can do nothing for you if there is a mistake. It's my fault but the lack of resolution is not ideal. I do appreciate the hotel explaining the situation.
To start, this is my first time staying in an actual hotel in Ireland. Previously we stayed in B&b type places. So maybe I'm applying my understanding of hotels in general but even in Cambodia I had a fridge.
The staff here are very nice. We lucked out and got here before a bus so no lines a free room upgrade to two single beds with a view of a wall. The beds were comfortable and they put massive comforter on it that feels so good when you get tucked in. We were able to get a power converter from the front desk. I guess most hotels will have so we were happy with that.
The room is nice. They have all the things a hotel should have. Coffee, tea, iron. No fridge. Again, no idea what the norm is here. Just putting it out there if you have meds that need to be refrigerated.
The first thing that struck me was the bathroom has a urine smell near the toilet. It was prior to using the bathroom so I feel like it's worth pointing out.
Also if you like a hot shower you will love it here. The water is scalding from the tap but the shower has a cool temperature gauge so you can really get a good hot shower...However, the shower didn't drain so I showered in 'me' soup up to my ankle or slightly below. Not trying to be dramatic. If I had platform crocks this shower could have been epic.
The hair dryer is either configured odd or doesn't work.
The location in town is nothing to write home about but if you zoom out you are in a magical land that is beautiful and ancient.
We had dinner here in the hotel restaurant last night and it was a good choice for pub food and...
Read moreKillarney Court Hotel what can I say only I’m disgusted. The hotel places me and my partner in a room a dark dull room at the back of the hotel. I payed no heed till the morning when there was men cutting timber and making an unreasonable amount of noise outside. The first night of our stay we opted for a carvery. My partner got roast beef and I got a toasted sandwich. With all my experience of cheffing in the hospitality industry let me just say had I of served that beef dinner I would have been sacked on the spot. It was nothing but an utter disgrace and don’t even get me started on their Yorkshire puddings because had I of thrown it at the wall i’m sure it would have flew back and hit me into the face, not to mind the fact we were up for the night vomiting. The pints of orchard thieves, what is going on!!!! The head was bigger than a head on a pint of coors, and none of the 3 pints I ordered tasted like orchard thieves. The next morning anyway when I realised the tv was also broken I went to reception and spoke with the manager. Manager was very respectful and wanted to help in any way she could. We came to agreement that she would move me and my partner to a different room. Which she did and I had no complaints about the new room… for the first five minutes I thought until I went into the shower which had no shower mat and nearly broke my neck. Then to be woken between the hours of 2.30 and 3am with staff knocking on the door, to which I didn’t answer because why are your staff doing this. They tried to fix their mistakes with a free breakfast which I was grateful for till I went down and realised the breakfast was worse than the dinner. Even cancelled another booking I had in December which was the price of nearly €400. All I can say is stay away because it’s absolute dirt. Gordan Ramsey would have this place shut for good. You are supposed to be a...
