Big extensive playground in a beautiful setting at the edge of Killarney National Park. Has lots of different features for all age groups, including a dedicated toddler area. It can be full at times, especially during the week when the nearby primary (and secondary!) schools are finished for the day and pupils pop in to hang out for a while on their way home. Well maintained, but closes (too) early especially in the summer (7 pm when often it'd be a bright and lovely evening until 10 or later). The equipment is seperated into a Junior and a Senior section, but in reality there is a purely toddler section, then something for the young children, and finally a zipline and play equipment for the older children. Read moreDeceptively large playground with several apparatus for all ages. Benches and grassy area make for a great picnic spot and the public toilets are clean and equipped with a disabled toilet with changing table.
Everything is well maintained, with fresh wood chip in evidence under the zip line and play area for older children.
Note closing times are seasonal - 1930 in summer but 1700 in winter. My only criticism would be that there is only one bin (at the entrance to the playground) which doesn't seem to be enough for the size...
