Bridge House B&B — Hotel in West Cork

I didn't find the host on HelpX so I write it here. I spent a 2 week stay with this host on a voluntary basis in exchange for room and board. It was a really traumatic experience. The bulk of my experience consisted of her berating me during the day about how I was working. She would tell me that her friends would make fun of me, she would set me up. One evening, she told me that I dressed too well for this kind of work, so the next day, I dressed in a less formal way, but there were customers for the B&B that day and she didn't tell me, so she took the opportunity to put me down. In the evening, she comforted me when I shared with her how I felt. I was really on edge all the time and when I would reproach her she would use this so-called devotion to me so that I couldn't argue. I felt like a prisoner. When I realized, thanks to my friend, that the problem didnt came frome me it truly was a relief. A few days before I left she asked me to write a glowing review of my stay on the HelpX website, I did not publish it. I managed to leave, but as I feel that it is something that still affects me today, I needed to share it to draw a line on it and if it can avoid another person to live it so much...

This Place was Amazing it was Eccentric but the Service was exceptional each Room Had it's own Theme, We got the Psychedelic one There was a Sequin encrusted Fish and a Rose in the Sink The wall paper was Zebra Style We didn't have an ensuite but in the Bathroom you got to share with a woman in White with a Feather Bower, in the Hallway,Egor From Hammer House of Horror Kept watch life sized Manaquins Scattered and Dressed in many Styles place was full of Antiques some absolutely beautiful and in keeping with the style of the House and many thatWere just quirky. Next to the Bed was the Perfect Analogy, The Holly Bibble and an old Book Sandwiched between 50 Shades of Grey. The Breakfast was always served with freshly made Bread Local Produce and Home Made Preserves absolutely delicious it was all served in Antique Cutlery and Silver nothing was too much effort we were there for a few days and really felt sad about leaving one more thing fresh flowers Picked Fresh on Every Table the Garden was Blissful. It’s one of deep impression airbnb experience, because I felt it full filled with the milk of human kindness. For the airbnb,location it’s quite convince, 3 mins walk to the convince shop, and in the city center. The room it’s clean and also warm enough during the winter time. Also have the electric blanket. The wash face area in the room which is good 2. Homemade breakfast makes you feel you re living in the friends house. 3. Decoration- it’s a amazing place that you can explore if you dislike the general room for airbnb. Every single area it talked about the story of Mona or the Mona’s art interest. I would say this place it definitely a good spot in Skibbereen, which is delightful place in city. Must to visit . Also, Mona is a wise and just like a gentle lady from my neighbor. we had a chance to talk a bit and she shared her wise thought, taught me - life is about live and enjoy.
