We stayed in the owner's new La Finca hotel nearby that he just opened, not far from this one. It's still under construction in places so they worked around us and with us. Whenever we found and pointed out things that needed fixing and improving they took care of it right away. WiFi was only spotty at first, but after a day they had redone their network and had it working great. Everything at this place is brand new of course.||Not sure I would call them all "luxury" suites (at the new hotel, anyway) but they are immaculately clean, beautiful and well furnished and stocked. I was also able to hook up my laptop to the big TV which made working from my laptop a lot easier. (Be sure to bring all the cables and adapters you will need.)||The owner and the rest of the crew are INCREDIBLE. They really aim to please and bent over backwards; they went above and beyond the call for us. One of our group is handicapped and couldn't make it up the large step in front of this hotel when we arrived (the city took away his ramp which he plans to restore) so the owner came right over and drove us to the new one, helping her with everything all the way to her room. Whatever we needed they were there for us.||There are all kinds of shops and restaurants within walking distance with incredible, delicious meals. Just remember that everything owned/run by Jewish folks is closed for Shabbat -- Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.||They also helped with the best and most honest taxi drivers (saved us a lot of NIS back to the airport) and with translating for us when we needed help with that.||If you want a kitchen be sure to ask for a room with one. A microwave is centrally located near the room, but he's still working on it and put one in our handicapped friend's room for her. Hairdryer and some other goodies included. ||The neighborhood is very quiet, though a bit run down in some places (buildings and structures are up to 150 years old)! We felt very safe though at all hours.||If we ever visit Beersheba again this is where we will...
Read moreInitially we had wanted to stay a bit closer to Midreshet Gurion, but due to the Hanukkah holidays, Beer Sheva was the only place where there was accommodation available. It turns out our choice of La Finca Luxury Suites could not have been better. It is in a very picturesque, quiet part of the city and won us over at first sight. It is surrounded by a nice little garden and is very tastefully decorated throughout. The room and bathroom are a decent size, very well appointed and really stylish, yet also cosy. We did not have breakfast in the restaurant, Tapas, across the street, where it is usally offered, as we had to leave early the next morning for Sede Boker and En Avdat a pleasant half-hour drive away, but we went for dinner there and enjoyed it very much, so I'm sure breakfast will be a delightful affair there, too. Communication with the management was excellent. On our arrival at the airport in Tel Aviv we got a phone call asking about our arrival time in Beer Sheva, and were given the code to enter the building after office hours, our room no. and the wifi code via Whatsapp, absolutely no problem. Wonderful customer service ensured that a hair dryer was brought to the room within 20 minutes of our asking for one – so thank you, everybody at La Finca Luxury Suites, for an all-round wonderful experience. We will be back and definitely for longer...
Read moreLa Finca apparently has a 14 day cancellation policy. I was stranded in Beersheva and frantically trying to find a place to stay for me and my teenager as we were scheduled to be in town for five nights. Beersheva has few lodging options. I found La Finca online and they only had room for the last three days of our stay. I booked the room and told them I would have to continue searching for that night and the next and if I find a place that could accommodate us for all five nights I would cancel the three at La Finca. A few hours later I found a place for all five nights and contacted La Finca to cancel. I was told that their policy is you must cancel before 14 days otherwise you face a penalty. OK. But that policy is invalid if you make a reservation for 48 hours later and indeed I tried to cancel within four hours of booking the room as I had found other accommodations. I had booked my reservation on the phone and was never told about the cancellation policy. The hotel did however email it to me AFTER I tried to cancel. This is dishonest. The hotel may be lovely but I would never...
