I regret booking this hotel. I thought it would be a value for money option (3 star) in the Sardinian countryside but I was so wrong. This hotel is a holiday camp with scheduled activities every hour including extremely loud live music nightly until past midnight. The place is over run with children racing and running round screaming, ping pong tables, children’s playground, rubbish (plastic cups, empty packets, crockery) everywhere. There were weeds outside our room which constituted a garden! The railings outside our room were attached by one bolt and dangerous. Most ground floor rooms overlook the car park. The pool was green/murky and I wouldn’t go near it. ||The rooms are of a very poor standard. We had the last room in the hotel (when we turned up half an hour after check in time) as we were told the hotel was full - despite booking and paying months ago. Originally they wanted to ship us off to an off site apartment with no air conditioning (in the middle of August). Compensation offered was a free lunch - even the receptionist looked embarrassed at the offer. ||The room given (which after complaining, the hotel manager confirmed was the worst room in the hotel) meant we had absolutely NO sleep as our headboard was next to the ping pong table in reception and it was played ALL night. The room had no window. See photos attached for holes in curtains, towels, mould in shower, dirt on sliding entry door, cobwebs etc. I complained to the manager about the constant noise to be told that this is a holiday village and what did I expect! There is constant loud entertainment and most of the guests, (none English) were on some sort of all inclusive package. ||The manager changed our room but it was still so noisy, still other screaming guests and breakfast was appalling. The manager said he could not authorise a refund as he wasn’t the owner! I abandoned our stay and found another (lovely) hotel as I was so upset - holidays should be lovely and relaxing. ||Please avoid as it ruined...
Read moreIf you like your vacation fully organized with permanent piped-in elevator music, shrill "animators" (afternoon Aquafit) and institutionalized eating, this is the place for you.||The room was clean and tastefully decorated and air conditioning worked, so that was a plus. The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent, so it was a challenge to have a decent shower. Although we paid for half-pension, the dining experience seemed so institutionalized (a giant tent with tables that were pre-chosen for you) that we opted to simply go down to the restaurant at the beach and pay extra. The breakfast was OK, though the coffee was from a machine and not at all at the usual Italian standard. Very disappointing. ||The pool is pretty, but a ridiculous rule that everyone had to wear bathing caps meant that my daughters were chased out of the pool and scolded by the staff, so we didn't even use it. In any event, there was fairly loud, cheesy music playing almost all the time. The pool also wasn't open later in the evening, nor early in the morning (it was fenced off until after breakfast--10 am), so those who would just like to have a quiet early morning or evening swim to cool off are out of luck (me).||I am sure that for Italian families with small children, this would be a great option, but for us, traveling with teenagers and young adults it felt a bit like a prison. The price for 2 nights was almost as much as what we paid for a week in other places.||It felt like being in a nasty summer camp with all kinds of "organized fun" activities that were overly regimented. UGH.||There was no wifi. Major difficulty for anyone who has to do business...
