Trulli Colarossa is by far the best private accommodation I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world, with no exception! From the perfect setting to the incredible hospitality we received I am already planning a trip back to this idyllic resort-style authentic accommodation.||||Even before arriving we were greeted by Ioanna via email and felt looked after straight away. Booking the property was really simple and Ioanna was really patient with me with all of the questions I had prior to departing the UK. We were arriving later in the evening (around 9pm) from the UK and needed to sort out both dinner for the first night and breakfast for the following morning which we were concerned about as weren't sure if shops would be open. We were told not to worry at all about this, and even during the current pandemic situation (which doesn't allow the usual B&B service) Ioanna and Donato went out of their way to supply us with the most incredible breakfast spread (complete with cheeses, assorted hams, fresh figs, bread and a homemade cake which Donato's mother makes!). They also arranged a reservation at a local restaurant which was amazing and such a nice touch.||||The level of service and hospitality was set on the first night and carried through the entire stay. Donato was more like a personal concierge at a 5* hotel rather than a property host - every morning we spoke with him about our plans for the day and he suggested other places to visit, free parking in all places (which was an absolute god send!) the best local restaurants to visit and he even made all of the reservations for us with special requests to be seated in the best places in the restaurants, I can honestly say I have never felt as looked after as I did when staying here. We mentioned in passing that we really enjoyed his mother's cake and when we came back from one of our day trips found that she had made some more and let it in our Trulli - what an incredible touch!||||The Trulli itself is situated about 3 minutes drive outside of Alberobello (or a 15-20 minute walk). It's in a perfect location to explore the Puglia region, and benefits from being set back from the roads which creates an oasis of calm when staying on the property using the facilities. We stayed in Trulli Viola and was such a joy - the pictures honestly do not do this place justice (even though the pictures are also incredible). We hadn't had a night's sleep as good anywhere else as we had here - it was around 26-28 degrees during the day but the Trulli retained the cold well and was a really good temperature inside. There was one night that I did get a bit hot but I really like sleeping in a very cold room - I asked Donato if there was a fan that we could use and within 10 minutes got a reply from him saying that they had just put the fan in our room...incredible service continued!||||When all of the shutters are closed inside it is PITCH BLACK, which for us was amazing as it meant we could sleep without any disturbance. The outside dining area was where we spent most of our time when using the Trulli and was really nicely finished...was such a joy waking up to the views we had and having breakfast in the sunshine. ||||The facilities are really spectacular there as well. The swimming pool wasn't large enough to do laps in (if that's your thing) but was definitely large enough to enjoy and swim around in, whilst being able to relax on the decking sunbathing and overlooking the olive groves and mountain views. ||||As we were leaving on our final day (reluctantly!) Donato told us where the cheapest place to fill up our car with petrol would be, and gave us a recommendation to go and visit on our way to the Amalfi Coast...just such a nice touch and really enforces that hospitality I have been banging on about throughout this review.||||I genuinely do not have any bad things to say about our stay - I always try to give any constructive feedback to places I visit but they are doing everything so well there is nothing I can add. I cant thank Ioanna and Donato enough for making our Italy trip the best it could have possibly been, and quite frankly without their help would not have been the amazing experience that it was. DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK THIS PLACE, it will surpass any expectations you could...
Read moreWe just returned from a week stay at TrulliColarossa B&B. The group consisted of 11 women. This place is amazing. TrulliColarossa is located about 2 km from Alberobello. This is a great base for exploring beautiful Puglia, so you'll need a car. ||All rooms in TrulliColarossa are in authentic trullo houses with a conical construction. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The bathrooms are equipped with mini cosmetics (shampoo and shower gel). ||Four trulli (Gelsomino, Rosa, Viola, Felisia) and the whole property are beautifully maintained, very clean and was at our exclusive disposal. The houses were cleaned every day. Towels were also changed daily. The pool is beautiful and clean. There is fantastic swimming pool, children's playground and paddling pool. ||Donato is the best host I know. He is very helpful, discreet, kind and friendly. Every morning he discussed the schedule with us, gave sightseeing tips (free car parks, convenient routes, view terraces, etc.) and booked the best Apulian restaurants for us. For this, he is very handsome 😉. ||Breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful, served privately in the garden. Maria and Liliana even prepared a typical Apulian lunch for us. It was very nice. Simply the standard of a five-star hotel - highly recommended.||It was a fantastic time. Donato, Maria and Liliana,...
Read moreUnfortunately my experience at this location was a bad one. I can say that the accommodation dates are not real and the first restaurant is in the middle of the field a few hundred meters away, 600,700 meters. The other restaurant was at least 2 km away, also in the middle of the field, deserted left right with no houses around, and I wonder what you would have done if you wanted to have dinner at 20:00. The location is in the middle of the field, no shops, the first shop is 1.8 km away. As for the interior it is nice, but the TV is at least 30 years old opens from a button in the back. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, they are commercially bought muffins not homemade as the host bragged. After paying for the accommodation, we noticed that the price did not reflect the reality and was far too expensive for the location and interior, we slept only one night, the second day we took our luggage called a taxi and looked for accommodation in the centre of Alberobello, where we found half price. But it is sad that what is written in the description does not correspond to reality!|I don't understand why it's branded as being from Alberobello when it's out of town, and you can only get there by taxi, which you can hardly find because Alberobello doesn't have...
