Hotel Juventus — Hotel in Auronzo di Cadore

We were on a full week trip to the Dolomites and we kept this hotel for the last 3 nights. Initially we booked a triple room because that was the only one available on booking.com with special mention we wanted a balcony. Then I have been contacted by them that they have a double room with balcony which was not on booking and they can reserve it for us. OK! BEST CHOICE EVER! When we got there , of course we were welcomed in the Italian style ( warm and friendly ) and the manager told us that we've got the worst room and smiled :)))). We got the keys and when we entered the room, I rushed to the window just to see the serendipity. They gave us an exquisite room with an amazing big balcony, lake facing from all 3 parts ( front, right and left) and we could see Tre Cime ( I think ) or Cadini di Misurina in the distance. It gave a very "Monaco" and "rich" feeling. But that's not IT, the room was very clean equipped with everything we needed, breakfast really really good. However what is making me to come back over and over again are the people from there. Very warm and friendly, helpful, smiling all the time. It was just like home but far away from home. alloggiato una settimana con famiglia in regime di mezza pensione. Camera tripla discreta, dimensioni adeguate, bel terrazzo con doppio accesso e piacevole vista sul lago, il bagno un po' piccolo. Colazione: due tipi di brioches (una vuota che ti riempi te con marmellata e l'altra o alla crema o con uvetta), yogurt, biscotti, il salato un po' risicato: un solo salume e un solo formaggio, uova strapazzate su richiesta a pagamento 5 €, il tutto gestito da addetto che in teoria ti dovrebbe aiutare nella scelta, ma in pratica ti mette anche un po' in imbarazzo sulla quantità, forse meglio self service. Cena con cucina familiare, piatti buoni, ma troppo semplici, non pretendevo gourmet, ma quando uno va in vacanza preferirebbe mangiare qualcosa un po' diverso che a casa. Ho notato mancanza di piatti caratteristici della zona: in una settimana mai canederli o casunziei, mai polenta con salsiccia, gulasch, cervo, capriolo, mai formaggio patate speck e uova ... Anche i dolci ripetitivi e banali, oltre al solito gelato, proposta la stessa torta per 3 gg consecutivi, una sera che c'era il tiramisù non abbiamo fatto in tempo ad ordinarlo che era già terminato, strudel mai visto. Personale in sala gentile e disponibile, ma molto giovane, manca un gestore di esperienza ai tavoli. Preso una bottiglia di vino rosso, aperta e appoggiata sulla tavola, non dico tanto, ma é prassi in un hotel servire chi l'ha ordinata per l'assaggio e dopo un cenno di approvazione si riempiono i calici agli altri commensali partendo dalle donne. Mai una serata a tema. Mancano diversivi interni, solo una sala predisposta per giocare a carte, su TripAdvisor in servizi della struttura si evidenza idromassaggio e ping pong che nella realtà non abbiamo visto. All'esterno piccolo spazio con sdraio dedicato al relax. Ampio parcheggio privato sterrato fronte hotel. Buona dislocazione sul lago di Santa Caterina, in zona tranquilla, fuori dal centro abitato, ma allo stesso tempo facilmente raggiungibile con una semplice passeggiata di 5', il centro invece dista circa 1 km. Adeguata pulizia delle camere e degli ambienti esterni. Rapporto qualità prezzo nella norma. Per un giudizio più obiettivo su questo albergo bisognerebbe probabilmente provare altre strutture della zona per farne un confronto. Ho elencato aspetti positivi e negativi al fine costruttivo, sono almeno 20 anni che giriamo le Dolomiti, ogni volta cambiamo zona ed hotel, sempre categoria che va dalle 3 alle 3 stelle Superior, tutto sommato non ci siamo trovati male, ma da un 3 stelle mi sarei aspettato...

We were in Auronzo this summer for a week and the staff at the Hotel Juventus made our stay ! from the minute we walked in till the day that we left. ||The Hotel is located right on the lake, away from the main road of the village which makes it the perfect place to relax and explore the mountains. || We talked to several fellow guests some of which have been coming to the hotel for more than 30 years which is hard to find nowadays and this is due to the staff working at the hotel.||Two things I really enjoyed were the pre-dinner drinks on the terrace of the lake sidebar and the food in the restaurant.
