Disappointing Stay at Resort La Francesca - Not Recommended We had a reservation at Resort La Francesca from September 8th to September 13th, but due to a poor experience, we ended up leaving a day early. The stay was truly disappointing. As soon as we checked in and entered our accommodation, we realized it was nothing like what we had booked. The unit was on the ground floor, dark, and outdated, with everything old. The "sea view" advertised on the website did not match the reality of the house we were given. The house was sparsely equipped. There were barely any dishes, no TV, and not even a coffee machine! If you're considering staying here, be prepared to feel like you're camping. I went back to the reception to complain and requested something closer to what we had reserved. They gave us another ground-floor unit, slightly better with less overgrown vegetation, where we could at least see a glimpse of the sea. As we explored the so-called resort, we noticed it was in a state of disrepair with very poor maintenance. Everything was old, and the bar, supermarket, and restaurant were only open for limited hours during the day and afternoon. The children's pool was completely empty, and other leisure areas like the tennis courts and playground showed clear signs of neglect. If you're planning to visit Levanto, be prepared for a long, steep walk down and a tough climb back up. The shorter path from the resort to the tunnels was closed off and had clearly been neglected for a long time due to lack of maintenance. We cut our stay short due to the lack of comfort and the presence of several bugs crawling inside the house. The final straw was when we found a scorpion crawling in our bedroom at night! We reported this to reception, but it didn’t help. To make matters worse, we were charged the full amount for the stay and forced to pay €8 per day for parking, despite the blue document we received at check-in stating that parking was included for one car per house, with an additional charge only for extra cars. In conclusion, I do not recommend staying here. The photos on the website are clearly from when the place was new, but now everything is old and poorly maintained. This place is expensive and does not offer the basic amenities or comfort you'd expect. Of all the places we've stayed, this was by far the worst.

This Resort is one of the worst. But let's start with the good. I am here for the 4th time now and it's an amazing time here. But me and my family are just coming here because of the scenery. The Resort is very bad. They got bad service, unfriendly owner, bad houses. The houses are very old and sometimes the water comes out of the toilet. Overall are ants and other animals. The kitchen is too tiny for a person over 1,90m and way too tiny to cook. They got 2 Pools. One at the beginning. It's cool but you need to have a bathing cap. Then there's a tiny pool near the sea. It's just for children under 12 years. They got a restaurant wich ist pretty good, but it's very expensive. You can't buy much water at the Minimarket. We are four people we need water. The resort itself is bad but the scenery and the sea are very beautiful.

This was one of The worst experiences I’ve ever had staying in Italy. We stayed there during our friends wedding for 3 nights. When we arrived they were surprised that we had a dog, despite the fact that we informed them about it before. We had to put on linens by ourselves. There was only one toilet paper for our whole stay (3 bedrooms house for 6 adults). No one changed the towels or cleaned our rooms during the stay. The owners of the place were rude and NOT helpful - far from Italian hospitality. We had a breakfast included during the stay which was composed of croissants, orang juice in a plastic cup and toasts with butter. This was it!!!! Terrible place and experience. Price for the pet stay 8 € per day. Which was not mentioned in their amenities summery. See a picture. Payed parking but nothing about additional charges for the dog. Very hilly resort, not recommended for people with kids and strollers. Not recommended in general!!!!!!! Awful:( no internet connection anywhere but reception which was far from any houses. The worst part of it was that the owners were not nice, they were treating everyone like intruders. How is it possible that you work in service/hospitality industry with this type attitude. I did not expect 5 star experience but this place does not deserve even a single star. Actually this post was written right after the stay and not 2 months (as the response of manager claims) It took them 2 months to read this post.

Even when replying to this review (after 2 months) the management was still not apologetic. Instead they are trying to say that it was my fault having a bad experience at their place. Or I shouldn’t bring my dog which was ‘undeclared’ . My friends informed during the booking that there will be a dog, so this place should stop making excuses for a bad service. Ridicules!!!!There are much nicer places to spend your money on. So please think twice when booking your vacation at this place. paying over 100euros per night. And by the way none of the other participants of the wedding posted any reviews because they wanted to forget about this place as soon as they left it. Including a groom who was asked to move from a shadowed table during a dinner because the table was reserved for the owners. Learn your lesson and improve instead of being defensive. Now you should believe in power of internet and reviews (ooo I forgot your place does not offer internet access). The attached photo is the reply that I received 2 months after giving this review. So maybe they should provide a good service so I did not have to write a bad review that was viewed by 178 people. A lot of...
