given the relatively high price (84,-- per person per night), the breakfast wasn't too good, especially the coffee was very watered down; also, no fridge in the rooms, use of the host's fridge was forbidden (to store milk for our 2.5 year-old daughter overnight); it remains a mystery to us why there was no soap in the bathrooms (when we asked, the host indignantly mentioned that this was standard practice); given the understandable surcharge of 10,-- € per night for a child, we simply cannot understand why there was no blanket in the crib and why we had to ask for an additional towel for our daughter--SUMMARY: unfriendly hosts, no family services--do not go there, in particular because the relationship between prices/services is definitely way...

While visiting grandparents, we were always inhabited in Garni Gasserhof and we have always enjoyed our stay, especially with family. We can all speak german so we all got along very well and had a very nice time. The rooms are spacious and functional. The breakfast is also varied and functional and the overall feel is a very homely, welcoming one. We always enjoyed visited Garni Gasserhof, It is ideal for hikers passing by, or anyone prepared to have a lovely, relaxed and homely overnight stay. Abbiamo scelto il garni Gasserhof per caso, non trovando posto neile strutture che abitualmente frequentiamo su Merano. L'edificio è abbastanza nuovo e ben tenuto e gode di una vista mozzafiato sulle montagne di fronte e la conca di Merano. La terrazza dove si fa colazione nella bella stagione è aperta da quel lato e il piacere di sorseggiare il caffè la mattina con le Dolomiti negli occhi è impagabile. La famiglia Kaufmann che gestice il garni (una dozzina di stanze) è molto cortese e sollecita e si fa veramente in quattro per offrire un buon soggiorno agli ospiti. Noi avevamo il cane con noi e malgrado l'evidente preoccupazione che la bestia recasse disturbo agli altri ospiti, ci hanno agevolato in tutti i modi. Ci siamo persi l'escursione che Herr Kaufmann settimanalmente organizza per gli ospiti e ci è dispiaciuto moltissimo. Quando si è guastata la mia auto, mi hanno consigliato e aiutato a portarla in officina. Non abbiamo provato la piscina per mancanza di tempo, ma l'aspetto era molto invitante e vedevamo gli altri ospiti farne uso con soddisfazione. Nel complesso, un buon indirizzo da tenere in agenda per chi cerca relax e immersione nella natura senza troppi fronzoli. Encomio speciale per i proprietari.||P.S.||Per raggiungere il garni con gps, segnarsi le coordinate indicate in una delle prime recensioni (in lingua italiana) perchè sia l'indirizzo che le coordinate citate dai siti di prenotazione sono errati e non arrivereste mai!
