The room was small , I think this was the smallest room ever where I slept with my family, It takes time to moving away before anybody tries to move in the room. It was opened to the back of the hotel where some machine murmurred all day but this were quiet with closed doors. The staff is very kind and helpful, they solved all of our problems. They suggested to use the free parking places int he city instead of using the hotels parking pleace and it takes to 5 minute to reach our car where we can found free places except Saturday, and the leaving was difficult, because the road before the entrance is crowded and my family have to wait with the packages until I pick up the car. The view from the balcony on the top was very nice The hotel are at the beach, but the beach is very long, it takes minutes to reach but we can use the hotels sunbeds. You can bring your own ones and use them on the beach between the water and the sunbed rows, but using the hotels one is easier. The sea is very shallow, you have to take a long way to reach a place where you legs aren't reach the sand.
The breakfast was very good, appropriate selection of meat slices, good selection on fruits and salads, and rich selection of delicious cakes and cookies. We can store our sea toys near the reception is vas very useful And the hotels gives you some free bicycles, they are very useful to avoid long walks to the city centre or going to stores, of course the traffic is chaotic but slow. The hotel have 26'' col cycles and some 20'' for children, we missed the 24' size, because the 26'' was to heavy for my daughter. Pros: close to the beach, +++breakfast, +++staff, free bicycles, balcony view, hot tube Cons: parking difficult, small rooms, 600m from city centre Long beach shallow sea can be pro or cons. Against the small rooms I suggest this hotel, because we don't want to stay log time...
Read moreThe Karinzia was one of the better value hotels we looked at. We booked it with the knowledge that there may be compromises. However, there were few.||The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well- maintained.||The room was not exactly spacious and we had to ask for more coat hangers twice before we got some - it's a common gripe that hotels generally don't provide enough. It also didn't look like the photos online - not quite as smart. Perhaps we got one of the pre-facelift ones.||I have never seen a bidet actually in the shower before, but that is where it was. Should the need have arisen, we could have washed our hair and our bottoms simultaneously .||The hotel has bikes, which is a plus. Caorle is flat and getting about by bike is handy. They are well-maintained.||The only major grumble was some noise. The air conditioning was responsible for 75% of it; it rattled, clunked, hummed and chattered. The other guests provided the remaining 25%. But it's a family hotel, so you have to expect these things.||Breakfast was fine, with reasonable choice. But if you're a fruit lover you'd better like melon, grapes and pineapple because you'll have them daily. The coffee, from a machine, isn't as good as it should be in an Italian hotel.||The allocated section of beach is quite adequate. Caorle's beach is unusual in so far as there is a lot of space between the promenade and the sea. With the sun beds near the sea, there is something vaguely military beachhead about it. But at low tide there are warm pools of water where toddlers and happy small dogs can play safely.||In summary, the Karinzia is a very competent and good value hotel, in a tidy and family...
Read moreWe stayed at the Hotel Karinzia in mid-July, in what seems to be a busy holiday period in Italy. Having booked a family room, with bunk beds for the 3 and 6 year olds, the room was on the smallish side, especially for a long stay. However, we stayed only 7 nights, so were absolutely fine.||||The greatest thing about the Karinzia was the service and friendliness we experienced at all times; from our late arrival to our departure, all (yes, all) members of staff were extremely helpful, great with the kids (and all that goes with active children at meals and during too-late hours for little ones), interested and great at speaking our (preferred) language (English), in helping out with anything. The staff is not large, so we were dealing with the same ones pretty much every day, morning, day, night, meals, at the reception, and elsewhere.||||The breakfast buffet is clearly designed and prepared for pan european guests, and very different from the standard continental breakfast seen many places - complete with ham, eggs, bacon and more, very impressive for a small outfit.||||Also worth a mention is the fact that although the Karinzia does not have its own pool area and a limited restaurant, the co-operation with Hotel Airone down the street, with its family friendly pool area and bar/restaurant service, as well as the free bike rental at the Karinzia itself and the included beach chairs/parasol (normally about €15-20/day) makes the complete package an excellent value.||||And again, a great part of that is due to the incredible service level and friendliness...
