😊: Communication via Booking messages was smooth, but when we arrived, it turned out the owners weren’t there, and we would have been waiting if it hadn’t been for a neighbour who told us they run their own bar nearby and suggested we go there. The owner is very friendly and always smiling. The house has a rustic style and a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was prepared by the owner in her garden, mostly using homegrown products and mainly sweet options. There is no Wi-Fi at the property, and there is no parking space, so you need to look for paid parking nearby. Our stay was enjoyable overall. A nice B&B tucked away in the foothills of Carate Urio. All rooms have a scenic view of Lake Como, with a perfect sunrise appearing behind of the mountains! Da an Parkplätzen in Carate Urio wirklich großer Mangel herrscht, ist es umso mehr zu schätzen, dass Casa di Camilla einen eigenen Platz (ca. 100m vom nur zu Fuss erreichbaren Hauseingang) für die Gäste reserviert hat.||Die beiden Gästezimmer sind in den oberen Geschossen des alten und verwinkelten, sehr originell eingerichteten und dekorierten Häuschens untergebracht, das im abgetrennten unteren Bereich von den Gastgebern selbst bewohnt wird. Für die Gäste steht neben einer Teeküche ein Gemeinschaftsbad zur Verfügung - insbesondere die winzige Dusche stellt Ansprüche an die Gelenkigkeit der Nutzer, aber immerhin ist alles blitzsauber. Ein wirklicher Nachteil aber, der in unserer Bewertung auch zum Punktabzug führte, ist das im wörtlichen Sinn brettharte Bett, in dem wohl nur Fakire angenehm ruhen können - dieses Manko wird am Morgen durch das von der Gastgeberin (nein, sie heisst nicht Camilla; Camilla ist die freundliche Hundedame des Hauses;-) selbst frisch und liebevoll zubereitete und ganz hervorragende Frühstück mit lokalen Spezialitäten wieder...
