LakeComoGolfHotel — Hotel in Carimate

We booked this as a last minute stop over on our driving trip as the pictures looked ok on Booking.com. The reception and bar are quite modern and ok. The room on the other hand was awful! Very old fashioned and very basic. The air conditioning didn’t work & was told it was too late to get an engineer out & there weren’t any other rooms available to swap. The room was 22 degrees and very stuffy! There was damp on one wall and the bathroom was the same. The breakfast was ok. The waitress cleared the table next to us and wiped the crumbs off onto the floor and left them. That won’t help with the flies!! No anti bacterial spray used to wipe the table either! When we checked out I told the guy on reception about the air con and he said they had been trying for a few days to get somebody to sort it! Really??? Surely if the air con isn’t working and it’s being advertised that it has they shouldn’t be letting the room out at over £100 a night!! We had stayed in 2 lovely new hotels on our trip down that were similar money and miles better than this one! Avoid and check yourself into a nicer b&b or hotel. Definitely go off the reviews...

The rooms are noisy because the Hotel is located above a pub. The pub is open late The hotel does not have parking and guests must use a public area, where it is difficult to find space for the car. The parking is not in a protected area. The waiters at the restaurant don't smile and the service is chaotic. They are not organized and keep asking you what you want! The tablecloth on the table is dirty and is not washed but only dusted The rooms are very badly organised! There isn't enough space to move. I asked the receptionist several times to fix a window in my room and no one solved my problem! I closed the window with tape! The breakfasts are not sufficient and the buffet is often empty (half past eight, the buffet is without bread and ham). The rooms are clean but...
