Hotel l'Approdo — Hotel in Casamicciola Terme

I normally do not write reviews but this place is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. definitely not 4 stars. This place would be lucky to be rated 1 star Check in was really odd. They held our passportsand the receptionist took us down the hall to our room The room is tiny, dirty, outdated (has not been touched at all since the 70’s) without any exaggeration. Tears in bed sheets, no desk, dull lighting in room, room is dull because of closed shutter doors, no view in any room except for maybe one or two on end of building. Bed is very hard (two singles joined together) which were out of alignment. The room TV is tiny (approx 18 inch). Shower is so small I could not even turn around and the water has be to on full hot for just enough warmth. Red light flashes on the ceiling all night directly above the bed. Wardrobe is full of mismatched coat hangers that look worn and old. The aircon unit is an old unit on the floor and only just keeps up on the highest setting. The reception informs me after checkin that we will need to pay extra water and cost for a towel for my 1 year old son so an extra 20 euros per night will be added. I had already paid top dollar (ie. 200 euros per night) for this substandard hotel. The receptionist said I would need to talk to the manager that was on later in the day. The manager very rudely made up some story for the extra 20 euros per night for a 1 year old for the extra cost of their water bill and towels. Oddly we then went for a swim and asked the person by the pool where the pool towels are located and they directed me to reception. I then encountered the manager ignore me standing there in line for 10 minutes and served other guests as they came past. She then tried to charge 4 euros each to hire the towels per day. To make it worse our room towels were not replaced each day and there was not one provided for the baby The toilet downstairs was completely out of toilet paper in both the men’s and ladies For two days. Avrei evitato volentieri di dedicare tempo per scrivere tale recensione, ma dopo che||mia cognata è stata scambiata per la mia persona in una risposta piccata ad||una sua recensione, spenderò ancora qualche minuto per tale struttura.||In quanto letto; lo/a scrivente sottolineava che i prezzi del bar fossero in linea con||quelli della zona, ma non certo con quelli del supermercato. Tale risposta mi ha fatto ridere per la pochezza; in primo luogo per lo scambio della persona, quindi la poca attenzione ai clienti, ed in secondo luogo per aver provveduto ad osservare||quanto avevo in camera, piuttosto che svolgere puntualmente il proprio lavoro. Mi||spiego meglio; essendo incinta ho dovuto seguire le indicazioni alimentari datemi e||per tanto ho dovuto provvedere all'acquisto di una serie di prodotti non comuni o stare attenta ad una serie di alimenti che vengono vietati se non trattati adeguatamente, pertanto la stanza ed il frigo erano riforniti in tal senso.||Dalla risposta data per sbaglio a mia cognata ho capito che le signore delle||pulizie, che venivano regolarmente nell'orario in cui ero in camera per riposare (14:30/15:30), anziché sincerarsi di rifornire ogni giorno il bagno degli adeguati||asciugamani per numero e tipologie, sono andate a fare chiacchiere in merito a||quanto visto. Dei giorni pur di non essere svegliata, non ho fatto rifare la stanza e||negli altri ho sempre dovuto richiedere il pezzo mancante nel bagno, fino ad arrivare al penultimo giorno nel quale, dopo esser rientrata in stanza alle 16:30 ed essermi resa conto della mancanza di quasi tutte le asciugamani, aver avvisato e chiesto il piacere di portarmeli in stanza mentre mi intrattenevo in piscina, con mia grande sorpresa alle 18:30 al mio rientro ancora mancava tutto, sono riuscita ad ottenerli dopo averli richiesti nuovamente più volte e nell'ultima aver alzato i toni per ottenere quanto, un così detto quattro stelle, dovrebbe avere in grande quantità, per sopperire ad eventuali problemi con la lavanderia come da loro detto.||Puntualizzo, per chiarezza d'informazione, che i prezzi risultano essere mediamente||più alti ,di qualche euro, rispetto ai bar notoriamente cari e conosciuti dell'sola||(Calise a 200m dalla struttura) e non solo. Ho pernottato in questo albergo con mio||marito per dieci notti nelle settimane centrali di agosto, la struttura indubbiamente ha una buona posizione, grazie anche alla presenza della comoda||ascensore che collega la stessa al lungomare di Casamicciola, ma ci tengo a||specificare, per chi ha problemi motori o peggio è costretto su sedia a rotelle, che||non vi sono percorsi adatti a tali esigenze, in quanto la struttura presenta vari gradini e scalinate che non rendono agibili le varie zone per tutti, iniziando dalla stessa reception separata dal parcheggio da una manciata di gradini. Le camere non risultano essere particolarmente ampie ed alcune di esse hanno un affaccio sacrificato vista muretto rispetto ad altre che sono rivolte verso la piscina o al vialetto di passaggio con piante. Il frigo in dotazione è abbastanza rumoroso e l'impianto di condizionamento non è impostabile sulla temperatura desiderata, perché di vecchia tipologia. Per quanto concerne il bagno, la pecca principale è la doccia di piccolissime dimensioni ed accesso ad angolo, di scomodo ingresso per persone di stazza importante o in stato avanzato di gravidanza. Infine, a nostro avviso, il problema maggiore della struttura è stato il dialogo con il personale principale della reception che è stato a tratti scortese, poco o per nulla risolutivo nelle problematiche riscontrate a cui abbiamo avuto risposta con frasi standard, non solo verso di noi, ma anche con altri clienti che alle volte mi precedevano un esempio fra tutti, mentre attendevamo la consegna della stanza,||abbiamo sentito dire dallo stesso ad una collega: "sto mettendo le x sul calendario||per i giorni che restano alla fine della stagione". In conclusione, la cosa che mi||dispiace di più è che io non avrò problemi a tornare ad Ischia che per me è di casa||ormai da tanti anni, ma un turista potrebbe pensare che questa è l'accoglienza offerta da tutta l'isola e ciò è un vero peccato; abbiamo sentito commenti negativi da persone con cui abbiamo stretto amicizia (altre tre quattro famiglie) le quali hanno espresso la volontà di non tornare più presso la struttura. ||Aspetto con ansia una risposta sopra le righe e dai toni a tratti scortese, come quelle lette per altre recensioni, invece di prendere spunto per migliorare sempre di più l'accoglienza e l'albergo in...

I've stayed here twice this summer and I will say as a hotel it is fantastic. My only complaints are the fact that our room description was misleading. It said we would have robes in our room and a free minibar which we had neither. Also don't bring non refrigerated food back with you. Our room was crawling with ants but that didn't really bother me as it is an island in a warm climate. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We did a spa package that we didn't really enjoy. It was the "daytox" package. Firstly we were told we could be together during our massages and then were told we couldn't once we got to the spa. Secondly their eas only one masseuse for the 2 of us so she had to alternate treatments which would have been fine except the rooms they have you in had no music, aromatherapy or any atmosphere. So while you wait your turn for your next treatment you are just staring at a blank wall in silence. It was not relaxing. One of the spa rooms has a steam room, sauna and shower which was nice except you are suppose to be naked to do those things which i did not feel comfortable doing because strangers kept wandering into the spa from the indoor pool and looking into said room making me very uncomfortable.
