The hotel was generally very good, it looks very attractive and the staff are smart and attentive. All the staff on reception were ultra-helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The public areas as well as the spa are impressive and well kept. Our room was extremely nice as well, beautifully looked after by the housekeepers, quiet with the shutters closed, and with a very comfortable bed.||We found the hotel shuttle bus brilliant, it took us to and from Negombo beach as well as most of the way to the Botanical Gardens, and into Ischia port. It is an easy walk into Casamicciola and from there we caught the island's circuit buses though we came to the conclusion it was better to get on them at the start of their journey in the port. ||There were a few niggles, being on the road the hotel is not entirely peaceful, we sat outside sometimes but either we had the sound of traffic, or the sound of a loud airvent when we sat on our balcony - we could even hear traffic in the sauna. ||Breakfast was one third cake - more healthy options would be a suggestion, and bread that does not need a saw to cut it - the scrambled eggs and pancakes were always stone cold - we only found out from another guest as we were leaving that we could have requested these to be cooked fresh on request - why is this not communicated to guests? Hot food and drinks would transform the breakfast experience!||We ate once by the upstairs pool and once in the restaurant for dinner - and were generally very underwhelmed by the food and found the prices eye watering and the atmosphere uncomfortable (ghastly, loud jazz, same sound track on a loop). The restaurant staff are certainly not rushed off their feet - perhaps they are in the summer. ||Would we stay again? Possibly, now that we know everything about the hotel and area that we didn't known on arrival! And I would bring a kettle, because 15 euros for two teas in the room is...
Read moreAs others have mentioned, the service here was truly impeccable. No request was an inconvenience and, in fact, they proactively would ask or suggest other ways that they can be helpful. On the first day, they asked if we’d like a scooter, so they had a scooter rental ready out front the next morning. They handled everything, and being an American was no problem. On the second day, my fiancé got sick unfortunately, but the hotel had a doctor make a house call directly to the room. Luckily it was just a bit of travel anxiety, so seeing a doctor helped tremendously!! That probably saved the trip, so I’m extremely grateful (and still in shock they just had a doctor come right to the room)
The breakfast was great with a wide selection, and we experienced the same attentive and friendly service from the restaurant staff.
The spa was beautiful, relaxing, and we enjoyed every service. We felt like royalty staying here, so the cost also felt like an exceptional value. I would have zero hesitation returning and hope we...
Read moreOur family found a lovely hotel on Ischia Island, while on an extended vacation to Italia. We took the hydrofoil from the port in Naples and found our way up the hill to Hotel Terme Manzi. This newly refurbished hotel is graciously appointed with unique and historic furnishings. We enjoyed a clean and refreshing pool on the rooftop, equipped with a pizza restaurant and bar. Our favorite, maitre d, Antonio hosted a wonderful buffet breakfast each morning with plenty of local cheeses, honey, pastries and fruit. All egg and meat dishes were also available to the patrons. Dinner guests, each night, were offered the chef's specialties with the guidance of Antonio, a native of the island who proudly and enthusiastically shared stories of his home. We highly recommend this lovely piece of paradise for a restful and rejuvenating vacation. The island is hospitable, historic, and a wonderful find. Thanks you Antonio...
