Residence Rododendro — Hotel in Comun General de Fascia

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff were genuinely kind and offered great tips on places to visit in the area, which helped us make the most of our trip.

One of the highlights for our children was the hotel dog, Mia. She was a regular around the property and brought a lot of joy to our little ones. They also absolutely loved the downstairs area with the pool table and table football—so much so that they would rush there every day! The hotel felt safe and cozy enough that we were comfortable letting our three children (aged 6, 8, and 9) head down to play on their own.

The swimming pool was another family favorite, and I personally enjoyed unwinding at the end of the day with a peaceful session in the sauna. Our room offered stunning views of the mountains, which made waking up each morning an absolute treat. The location also suited us perfectly. One day we ventured to the Moena area, which was beautiful but overcrowded with tourists. Coming back to the calm and quiet of the hotel felt like a breath of fresh air.

That said, the hotel does feel a bit run down in places. There are small things that could use maintenance, which, while not deal-breakers, slightly detract from the experience. We were especially disappointed that the restaurant and breakfast service were closed. The dining area now feels a bit deserted, which is a shame because the space has a lot of potential. It made us wonder whether things come more alive in the winter season.

Residence Rododendro is one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed during winter holidays. The main highlights are: if some family staying above your rooms gets up at six am, expect getting up at six as well. The building is really paperlike, old furniture including beds like hammocks (basically you don't sleep flat), poorly equipped kitchen, blankets not covered, sockets that do not work, no device to dry ski boots, mold at different rooms and bath, very bad Internet access available only in the "club room". Also "club membership" is another cool feature here. For 25E you get an access to the Internet, which is barely working and available only at "club room", an access to pool and sauna and other things. Funny is that sauna towels are available for another 5E. Some staff members are very unpleasant. You have to bring your own toilet paper, towels, kitchen detergent, sponge,... We have booked this accommodation through Czech travel agency, not directly and maybe because of some price issues between travel agency and Rododendro, we are treated as unwanted customers but in real life it is...

Avendo deciso pochi giorni prima di andare qualche giorno in Trentino il problema più grosso era trovare un alloggio comodo e vicino alle località più belle da visitare. All'inizio abbiamo cercato per l'intera settimana di ferragosto per poi optare per un periodo più breve viste le previsioni temporalesche dopo ferragosto. Ci ha colpito subito la val di fassa punto di confine fra il Trentino e l'Alto Adige. In particolare Moena. Ma non trovavamo nulla a buon mercato. Così mi è venuto il pensiero di guardare verso il Passo San Pellegrino nota località storica della prima guerra mondiale e proprio in tale località ho trovato un grazioso residence a solo 10 km da Moena. Il Residence Rododendro prende il nome da un fiore particolare che adorna questi luoghi montani con la sua colorazione vivace e denominata "rosa alpina". Il proprietario di questa bella struttura è Daniel con il suo giovanile staff. La struttura offre varie tipologie di appartamenti con soggiorno con divano letto ed angolo cottura camere e bagno e balconi con vista impareggiabile. La disponibilità dimostrata sia per la prenotazione sia per la sistemazione ed i servizi al contenuto prezzo concessomi fanno per quanto mi riguarda una delle migliori strutture alberghiere della zona. Dotata di ampio parcheggio esterno e di un garage automatico con due ascensori un'ampia sala colazioni con caminetto ben fornita bar biliardo e biliardino e prendisole esterno. Appartamenti funzionali e ben arredati. Ed è qui la vera grande capacità di Daniel ed il suo Staff. Aver saputo realizzare tutto questo da una multiproprietà finita all'asta giudiziaria ed averla resa non il solito scheletro abbandonato ma una valida struttura alberghiera che nel futuro saprà sicuramente dare lustro alla zona e "rifugio" bello e sicuro per i tanti turisti che vogliono visitare le dolomiti senza rinunciare praticamente a nulla. A due passi da piste invernali da sci con funivie ed impianti di risalita moderne e funzionali. Davanti a vette maestose e boschi con cascatelle di acqua sorgiva. E aree che raccontano nei loro sentieri e manufatti la Grande Storia di una Grande Guerra combattuta fra italiani ed austriaci in queste zone e di cui restano ancora visibili trincee fortini per non dimenticare quegli eroi che hanno liberato e unito la nostra Patria.
