I’m really glad I found this little gem of a town totally by accident and I really liked the place I was staying. To all the people complaining about the camping (get over yourselves, it’s frigging camping and on a budget). I originally went to Brixen just to see a music show and then keep going on. But I was not able to get a rental so I just stayed at the camping site and Brixen for 4 nights and 3 days. I did 2 nights at the sites where you can bring a vehicle/rv and then 2 nights at the small tent area. Yes it rained and stuff got wet, oh well, it happens when you’re sleeping outside. Yes it’s right next to a road, but what do you expect? It’s a small condensed European town and if you want quiet sleep, go in the mountains. With the very affordable price for the camping they give you access to much of the hotel amenities and even offer the Brixen Pass which gives you access to all the local public buses, event, museums, and one round trip for the cable cars each day. I’d definitely recommend this place and if I ever come to Brixen again, I’d try the hotel too. As I was travelling alone I did not see any reason to spend that much money, however, my wife would love this place. I’m also very thankful to the staff for helping this ignorant tourist out! I absolutely had no idea what I was doing in Brixen but I made the best of it! I also really loved their breakfast buffet, which costs extra if you’re...
Read moreIt is a great campsite, one of the best we ever had. The bathroom and toilets are very clean and there is a cleaner the whole day. The pitches are larger than normal in Italy. The location is great. There are so much things to see in the area that a week is way to short to stay on this campsite. However, there are many people who only stay here for a short time. Incomprehensible if you ask me. In addition, the Brixen card is very nice to have. In addition to the cable car to Plose, you can also visit many museums for free, handy if you are traveling with children. The swimming pool is nice and great to cool off at the end of the day. Oh and there is a small playground outside, fine for small kids and a playground inside, which is very nice if you have kids who wake up very early. We did not hear anything of a road. There is a small river next to the campsite which makes some noise but that makes it very comfortable to sleep at night (if you ask me). If you still want to complain about something, then the shower at the swimming pool is a bit cold. And in the toilet it seemed like there was floor heating on, which was not necessary in the summer. But if that is the most annoying thing on the campsite, then you are doing very well...
Read moreWe stayed here with a small two person tent. We were told on the phone there was still room, but when we arrived we were put at a very small area at the end of the camping, next to the very noisy road. There was no room to park the car and we had to park outside the camping. We had to pay full price for the two nights, which was 80 euros. For this we would have expected a better place and room for the car. Also electric is included in this price, which we did not use at all. When we checked in the young lady told us a different price, we thought because we were given such a bad location. However, the older lady at the check-out gave us the full price and there was absolutely no room for discussion. She was also not helpful when our card stopped working on the last day and we could not get in with the car, which delayed...
