Relais Isole del Sud — Hotel in Lampedusa e Linosa

My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary in October 2023. The hotel is in a beautiful location and the room was fine. When we arrived at the hotel, our room was not ready and understandably since it was only 1:00 pm. We went to the beach bar for lunch where we were greeted by the owner. At this point she told us the restaurant for dinner had closed for the season, but the beach bar would remain open. The next day after a relaxing day lounging by the water, we went up to the beach bar for lunch and we were informed that the beach bar had closed for the season.|If we had been informed earlier, we would have made other arrangements for lunch. Now here we are, starving and not near any restaurants. That evening we took a taxi into town and back which cost round trip 35.00 euros.|My husband had booked here because according to the website, we would have access to a restaurant for lunch and dinner. If we had been informed at the time of the booking that the restaurants were closed, that would have been fine. But to have the owner tell us on a Monday that the beach bar would remain open, then shut it down the very next day is not how you treat your guests.|Needless to say, we were very disappointed, and we...

Location da sogno, ma servizi non da 4 stelle siamo stati a metà luglio all’hotel isole del sud di Lampedusa, in una posizione incantevole con un affaccio sul mare semplicemente meraviglioso. purtroppo, la struttura nel complesso non è all’altezza delle 4 stelle dichiarate, soprattutto considerando un prezzo di oltre 250 € a notte con colazione inclusa. colazione: a buffet, con servizio praticamente inesistente. più volte abbiamo trovato briciole di chi aveva fatto colazione prima di noi, che abbiamo dovuto togliere da soli dal tavolo. Era richiesto di riportare vassoio e stoviglie al banco bar, come in un fast food. una mattina ho scelto una pesca e ne ho trovate cinque con parti intaccate o marce; l’ho fatto presente alla barista, che mi ha risposto che la frutta veniva messa in frigo e riproposta ogni giorno e che a causa dello sbalzo termico marciva… ma basterebbe controllarla prima di esporla. yogurt e burro erano esposti senza alcun sistema di refrigerazione, quasi a temperatura ambiente. il cappuccino era più che altro una montagna di schiuma con bolle grosse. un giorno, alle 9:10, mancava persino il pane, rimasto solo il pan carré. spiaggia e attrezzature: la spiaggetta sulla scogliera è molto bella, ma alcuni lettini sono rotti, con alette parasole che non stanno su e bulloneria arrugginita (capisco la salsedine, ma servirebbe manutenzione —vedi foto). gli altri sono comunque un po’ malandati. gli ombrelloni, inoltre, sono instabili e sembrano da giardino di casa: bastava un po’ di vento per non poterli aprire, cosa che non ci è mai capitata in altre spiagge e scogliere dell’isola anche in giornate ventose.

camere: essenziali ma pulite; una tv più grande sarebbe stata apprezzata. La cassaforte elettronica non funzionava ed era utilizzabile solo con chiave.

servizi: nota di merito alla reception: le due receptionist sono state sempre cordiali e disponibili. buono anche il ristorante, dove abbiamo cenato una sera a un prezzo adeguato alla location. Il servizio bar, però, chiude alle 19 per preparare i tavoli della cena: un vero peccato, perché la terrazza sarebbe perfetta per un aperitivo al tramonto. Una sera ho chiesto di fermarmi per bere qualcosa, ma mi è stato detto che avrei potuto solo consumare due birre giù in spiaggia. Non solo: invece di essere servito al tavolo o in spiaggia, mi sono state semplicemente messe in mano insieme alla ciotola di patatine, dopo avermi richiamato indietro mentre stavo andando a sedermi. un gesto poco elegante per un hotel che si presenta come 4 stelle.

in sintesi, Lampedusa merita assolutamente il viaggio, ma l’hotel, pur in una location straordinaria, dovrebbe migliorare servizio, manutenzione e attenzione ai dettagli per giustificare pienamente le 4 stelle e il...

We had a problem with our reservation and the cancelation was not concretized.||On 23 th July , we called by phone the hotel and we were informed that the cancellation had been performed and no charges would be applied. ||Unfortunately, the promise was not concretized. We were charged for the full reservation period in our creditcard.||We wrote to the manager several times . The manager was impolite and inflexible||My husband is Sicilian and we have been traveling to Sicily every year for the last 30 years. We visited all the island except Lampedusa . ||This was the worst treatment I have ever received in Sicilian hotels for the last 30 yeas!||I really do not recommend to anyone Relais Isole del Sud to anyone...
