Hotel Isola Di Lauria — Hotel in Lauria

We arrived in Lauria late evening and a little to early in the season as it was late April. ||we found the hotel after a while, we had no problem seeing it but getting their took longer than planned but this adds to its charm. On arrival we met the night staff who were welcoming and kind. The reception hall was amazing almost set in a 60s time warp with retro leather sofas marbled floors and green palms. Our room was a little small and the tv was Italian but Italian tv is always glamorous and entertaining. Breakfast was continental and our son was spoilt terribly as in Italy your children are to be cherished. The view from the hotel rooms across the valley takes your breath away. when you sit on the terrace you are up in the clouds with the birds.||This hotel is 25km to the beautiful sea resorts of Maratea or Illicini and is at the base of Monte Sirino which is a family ski resort. When I got there I was already amazed by the place and I could see the sunset... The hotel staff got me a room facing the sunset and it was an unique experience. ||||The rooms are equiped with water and they have really good AC.||||The breakfast got me breathless. They had everything very well organized and everyone had their own table set up. The quality of the coffee was spetacular and the freshly baked croissants and other typical breads and yummy from the area got me sitting and wishing that breakfast was never over.||||The staff suggested me really nice restaurants and they assisted me contacting the people I needed to contact.||||It was a big pleasure to be in such a small town but such a big heart.||||IF I go there again, I most deffo will stay there again. ||||Congratulations, Hotel...

This place is ok, not great. Lift only goes to the 2nd floor and you have to drag your luggage up to the third floor. |Hotel advertises it has wifi and was given a card with the wifi details by one staff member only to be told by another staff member that wifi doesn’t reach the 3rd floor. |Pillows are flat as pancakes and either someone was having a party on Tuesday night or a night club is near by because the loud music didn’t stop until 2am. |Shampoo sachets are provided in the shower which you can’t open when your fingers are wet. |Had to share the spare pillow with hubby but no sleep came.
