Stayed here on a motorcycle tour and this place is an absolute gem. The hotel is a restored monastery and is situated in the centre of a lovely old town. It has incredible views over the surrounding countryside. The host/owner (really sorry we've forgotten your name) is fantastic. He suggested that we might like to park our motorcycles inside the courtyard. He was very, very proud of his fabulous hotel, and rightly so, and his English is impeccable. No expense has been spared with the restoration/conversion, the rooms are furnished to a very high standard. The host will enthusiastically answer any questions you have about the hotel, restoration and history of the property. This is an absolutely incredible hotel, in a great location, with great views and at a great price We recommend that if you stay here that you all also eat at the hotel. The tasting menu is excellent value for money and was exceptional. We will absolutely definitely...
Read moreWe've visited for a single night at the end of Oct 2015.||We got a broad room, recently restored, finely and simply decorated and furnished, plenty of room for a child if we had. The building is majestic, in the middle of the small village of LU Monferrato, on top of a hill.||We had dinner at the restaurant which is part of the Palazzo Paleologi Resort: excellent Italian-regional cousine (we visited in Ocrober, we got mashroom, pumpkin seasonal ingredients, and were offered truffle). The dinner was pleasant, in an elegant dining room, very good and quick service.||The staff proved kind and professional. Particularly we interacted with Marco, the manager, who was extremely kind and loyal in helping solve a trouble with our booking (I had booked for the wrong date).||The only glitch was that the wireless at some point cheased working, allegedly for a service interruptuon of the network provider.||We look forward to...
Read moreArrived on 4 motorcycles and we immediately got a very warm welcome. We were able to park the bikes in the courtyard . The rooms are very, very big, very clean, and extremely well furnished. We did have one worry though as we had requested a table for 4 in the restaurant on booking. On our arrival we were advised that unfortunately the restaurant was closed for 2 private functions - a wedding and a birthday party. We were told not to worry as they would serve us a meal in one of our bedrooms. We thought we wouldn't be looked after very well due to their other commitments. How wrong were we, we had an absolutely amazing meal and we were looked after extremely well by Dana. A table was set for 4 and the food was exceptional and a fine dining experience. Unfortunately breakfast was a very lacklustre affair but that definitely wouldn't stop us staying here again. Amazing value for money - drinks,...
