Maji Como Lake — Hotel in Mandello del Lario

THIS place was by far the best discovery I’ve made – the house is such a jewel! Everywhere you look you can find beautiful and unique details. Anna put all her love in this special place. The flats are enormously cute and clean – we felt at home from the very first moment. The garden is just outstanding, with the poolarea in front of the house and the backyard with a really nice lounge area to chill. Basically we loved every single corner from this lovely place! Mandello del Lario is an authentic, small, typically italian location at the lakeshore, much less touristy than other more popular cities, such as Varenna. It has a perfect ferry connection, train station in walking distance and the lake is reachable in 5 minutes by foot too. Anna was exremly courteous, always accesable and so nice to all of us! She was very helpful and just one of a kind! I can really recommend this place for all people – for a romantic couple holiday, for a family get away, or a cool girlstrip..as we did it! Not been here long but are totally satisfied on every level. The apartments are completed to an exceptional standard, it looks like a show home. The detail they have gone to in the decorating is great.

The host Anna could not be more accommodating. Her English is perfect and she was waiting for us on arrival and gave us a tour. There is a device you can scan on the back of the front door which gives details about the local area too.

On that, the local area is just what you would expect. Utterly beautiful, clean and looking like you've stepped back in time.

Local restaurants so far have been great and there are plenty of local shops fro fresh fruit, veg, bakery etc. It's like shopping back in the 80's. Love it!

Honestly we had a great stay and most of that was due to Anna the owner. She was amazing. Love her. She couldn't help enough.

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms as there was just the three of us. It was perfect. Had a small kitchen which was great. Had everything we could need. The bed was super comfortable. The pool was perfect, the whole family loved it. Nice area around the pool to relax and chill and there was a little eating area around the back.

The location is great close to everything and you can walk everywhere.

Honestly it was perfect for us.
