We spent one week at Villa Schindler for vacation at the southern end of Lake Garda. We were a family of six with four young adults. Four of us stayed in apartment #14 and the lovebird couple in room #7. The apartment is very spacious, hosts two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and has a large connected kitchen and living room space. Both the living room and one bedroom boast a wide window facing Lake Garda; waking up in that bedroom with the sun turning Lake Garda into sparkling silver could be one reason to stay there. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting outside as a family, under a green leaf canopy, taking in the view at Lake Garda again. The hotel room is labeled the “smallest room” in the mansion; that might be true, but it also comes with a nice atmosphere and a small “Juliet balcony” facing Lake Garda as well. One of the daily highlights were the breakfasts, well and sufficiently prepared, and taken on the large porch of the mansion with magnificent views at the glistening waters of the lake.||||Villa Schindler offers a large parking lot on the premise, a pool, and a private beach side lawn which can be reached within a 10 min walk through the grounds of the mansion and across the street.||||We all enjoyed that hidden place, its quietness away from the busy stretches of Lake Garda, at the same time in short reach of the lake, and especially to mention the great hospitality and help by Martina at the reception.||||Thanks a lot to the team of Villa Schindler for a very nice time. It is in our...
Read moreWe found this beautiful little property by following the sign "romantisches Hotel" after driving around the San Felice area. It is a bit off the beach (a 5-10 minute walk), but up on the hill its views are stunning. Once at the beach they have a private area for guests of Villa Schindler, with hammocks. The decor is charmingly old-fashioned and well maintained. The rooms are clean, although the beds are slightly short and bouncy. The entire villa and garden are overflowing with flowers and trees, adding peacefulness and color to the experience. There's a breakfast terrace overlooking Lago di Garda with a varied buffet of options. The pool is secluded, clean, and has equally great views. What makes this place special is the friendliness of the staff. Martina and Deborah are fluent in both Italian and German (and probably more), and were helpful and sweet, giving various recommendations about things to do. If you'd like a relaxing but unique, personal stay, this...

Traditional antiquated rooms with tasteful artistic attention to detail and TLC.||A hearty breakfast on the terrace with a daydream view over lake Garda for the perfect start to the day - take it slow and enjoy the best Garda has to offer with the sun dancing on the waves just for you; or finish off the day with a glass of wine and watch the moonrise and lights dance...||Friendly and helpful service from sassy people with character.||This is the quiet side of the lake, but it is still lake Garda, so there is the noise of a motorbike or three, and just like you people use their cars to drive around, but close the shutters and sleep in a bit, just like the locals...||If you want individuality, character and a break from the rat race then this is just for you. See you there, again (in my case every few years for the...
