Visited here late July 2018 and had a fantastic 3 nights in a large family room over two floors with a mezzanine and a large balcony.|What a great hotel .... easy check in from staff with great English - free underground secure parking. Quaint common area with a large tiled warming area/fire (must be brilliant for the winter) traditional alpine look and feel, lots of wood and beams - very traditional but modern amenities With a Sauna on ground floor.|Great breakfast with sausages, eggs, bacon and lots of ham/cheese/salami not to mention the usual cereals and lovely local yoghurt.|Rooms are amazing with a superb view of Monte Bianco , very comfortable large beds, great bathroom and shower with very nice complimentary toiletries. Huge balcony with table/chairs and 2 large loungers.|Hotel also gives you a 10% discount card for one of three restaurants only a couple of hundred yards into the town .|Superb location very close to town - can recommend La Locuna and also get the extra 10% off|Can’t find a bad thing...
Read moreFirstly, I apologize for taking so long to write this review. I should have done this last year. I can't recommend this hotel enough! Everything about it is great. The location, the views, THE STAFF. All the best. My mother had unexpectedly broken her leg before arriving here and everyone here was so so so helpful. The owner also provided one of his own wheelchairs so I could take my mom out to dinner which was such a treat because until then, she was bound to the hotel rooms wherever we went. A lot of places in Europe have breakfast in the morning but Magdalena would bake fresh cakes and pies every morning here (they were all so delicious). Magdalena also was so kind to my mom and even recommended a couple fabulous dinner restaurants AND drive us to and from them in the next town over since taxis are hard to come by there. Read moreWe stayed here as a group of five for a skiing weekend. Rooms were great, good size, comfortable beds and great showers. We were in a superior room which was really spacious with a fantastic terrace with a view of the mountains. There is a kettle in the room with a small selection of teas (but no coffee) and a minibar which had a very small supply of drinks. Morgex is a lovely little town so this very attractive hotel is really well placed and has good parking facilities. We thought the breakfast was quite limited in terms of selection in comparison with other similar hotels (and the hot food was cold) and were really disappointed that there was no bar or lounge in the hotel. When we asked for a coffee one afternoon we were told the machine had been cleaned ready for breakfast the next morning.
