This review comes a little late (we stayed for a couple night July 2023), but our stay just popped into my mind and I had to write a review. Camilla and her family are outstanding hosts. Their bnb is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It’s also in an excellent location very close to restaurants and a small grocery store, and also a reasonable drive to Cortina d’ampezzo (we drove each day of our stay to the Cortina area in order to hike). We stayed at Camilla’s place because 1) it was much more affordable than places in Cortina and 2) had excellent reviews (better than a lot of places in Cortina) and 3) had nicer/newer finishes/furnishings compared to a lot of the places I saw online in Cortina.
Her accommodations exceeded my expectations. The first night that we stayed, my husband and I were out into the late evening (9-10pm) after finishing a hike and grabbing dinner - Camilla texted and called me because she wanted to make sure we were safe since she hadn’t seen us come back yet. The next 2 mornings we were heading out early in the morning to start our hikes - our departure time was earlier than the typical breakfast hours, but Camilla packed us a really wonderful bag with ham and cheese sandwiches, juice, fresh fruit, and homemade (delicious) cookies/biscuits. Camilla would text me each day to make sure we were back safely from our hikes and to check in to see if there was anything we needed. The fact that I remember all these wonderful details really goes to show how excellent our stay really was.
The tiniest downside - because it’s a bnb (ie a home with rooms), we could occasionally hear the other guests if they were talking loudly. However, this was not an issue for us as this noise was short-lived and the other guests were respectful/socially aware and were quiet at nighttime.
Overall we had the most wonderful stay. I would highly recommend her bnb and I can say with 100% confidence that if we ever returned to the area, we would...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed five nights in this wonderful B&B. We were welcomed by Donnatella, who proved to be an excellent and most friendly owner of the B&B, which she runs with her daughther Camilla and son-in-law Paolo.||The B&B has been recently constructed (opened in July 2018) and is wonderfully furnished with a lot of good taste. ||We had a large room, with a nice balcony with a lovely view on the Dolomites mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the room offered plenty of space to get rid of your luggage, which is very helpful when you’re on vacation for a longer period. The bathroom was rather small, but well equiped. Special mention for the excellent and beautiful shower. No air conditioning, but that’s not really necessary in the cooler mountains.||Breakfast was excellent. I esp. recall the divine home-made Racotta-based yoghourt and cakes. ||We found the location to be perfect: easily accessible from the main road from Cortina to Pieve di Cadore (50m), ample parking space, perfectly located for excursions to Cortina, lago di Misurina and other must-sees in the region, good restaurant (trattoria Ski Bar) at walking distance.||B&B Ca’Milla is nothing but a superb place to stay when you’re in the Eastern Dolomites. I would not hesitate a nano-second to return to this place when we’re back in the region. Excellent...
Read moreFantastic place. Camilla, Paulo and their family have true heart for hospitality and for making you feel at home. Very friendly (Paulo waited for us outside to personally welcome us), great service (they watched our dog for the day) and a very nice place (beautifully designed and decorated, perfect facilities and very very neat). The breakfast is amazing; fresh and diverse, plus Camilla's mom bakes cake and pastry each day. Simply delicious! Absolutely recommendable and I will definitely come back if I ever visit that part of the...
